"Leave, before I kill you," Zaffuto warned in his cruelest tone. It was one that scared even the people around him and yet the stubborn woman just stood there, the sword in her hand as she stared right at him.
"Get on with it then. I'm already sleepy as it is," Liana said nonchalantly like she had no regard for her life.
Many would switch places with her just to be the one the king found trash out at, and yet here she was, determined to push every last button the king had engaged. She was risking everything, and she didn't care.
She had lost everything before and now, she had nothing left to lose. Her parents had died, thankfully by natural causes and Liana had mourned them. That was the one time she had seen the king be helpless and uncertain.
