Thank Your Stars You Didn't...

" Get ready, we are going to a dinner party this evening ", Xavier said as he headed back to his room. Summer looked around to see if there was anyone else in the room, and then she realized that Xavier was talking to her. She quickly went to her room to choose a nice outfit for the party while singing and doing small dances. "I think I need a new outfit for the party," she said to herself. She was about to go shopping when she suddenly remembered that she was grounded and not allowed to leave the house. "I think I will make do with what I have, "she said, sighing.

Xavier and Summer arrived at the dinner party hosted by Xavier's friend, Jayden. The venue was a beautiful mansion with a spacious yard filled with colorful lights and decorations. As they walked inside, they were greeted by Jayden. "Jayden, meet my wife, Summer", Xavier said as he introduces Summer to Jayden. He extended his hands to Summer for a handshake, and Summer accepted his handshake smiling," Am his best friend", Jayden said, introducing himself.

"Wow, I never knew Xavier had a friend not to talk of a best friend", Summer commented. "That's because am not always in the country," Jayden explained. "Oh!! I see Nice to meet you Jayden", Summer said, smiling." Same here dear and you look stunning, Jayden complimented. "Thank you very much, though someone here is blind to see that, "Summer said while looking at Xavier. Xavier ignored her and went to meet with some business associates at the party.

The night started smoothly, and everyone was having a great time, but as the night progressed, Summer noticed a woman who seemed to be flirting with Xavier. Summer felt a surge of jealousy and wanted to beat the lady up.

She took a deep breath as she looked around the crowded room filled with Xavier's colleagues and friends. She had promised herself that she wouldn't let her jealousy get the best of her, but it was proving to be a challenge.

As they walked around, she noticed several women openly flirting with Xavier. They laughed a little too loudly at his jokes, touched his arm a little too frequently, and gave him lingering glances. Summer felt a knot forming in her stomach and fought the urge to confront them.

She tried to distract herself by focusing on the food, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Finally, Summer excused herself and went outside for some fresh air. She leaned against the wall, taking in deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. She knew that confronting the women would only make matters worse, and it would embarrass Xavier." If not for my promise to Xavier, I would have taught those women a lesson" She said to herself." I think I know what to do", she said, smiling as she went back inside.

"Hey baby, why don't we head back home, you know it's not good for me to stand too long, so it doesn't affect our baby," Summer said while touching Xavier and hugging him closer to herself. The woman flirting with Xavier got jealous and left. Xavier smiled at her and said okay, "Honey, let's go". Immediately they got to their car, he detached Summer's hands from his, "What's the meaning of that nonsense stunt you pulled in there?" he questioned Summer.

"Can't you see that those women were not interested in doing business with you, they were only flirting with you", Summer explained." And how is that your business, did I ask you for help?" Xavier said, trying not to attract people's attention. "Well, sweetheart, am your wife, and you don't expect me to sit down there and watch other ladies flirt with you, "Summer said, defending herself. Xavier looked at her and ignored her. "Those women are very lucky, if not for the promise I made to you, I would have beaten them up", Summer said. "Then thank your stars you didn't, now get into the car, let's leave", he said.
