Chapter 21: Truth

Nefarion stormed into his mother's chambers, his anger evident in the air.

"You killed him," he accused, his words sharp and filled with accusation.

Queen Nadia met her son's gaze calmly. "I see you've encountered Dagon," she remarked.

Nefarion nodded, his fury burning in his eyes. "He claims you murdered the King."

A wry smile curved Queen Nadia's lips. "I had to. He was an obstacle, and obstacles must be eliminated. I merely removed one."

Shock coursed through Nefarion's veins.

"Regicide? What if people find out about this?"

"Son, it won't matter. We have ways of silencing them," Queen Nadia replied dismissively.

Nefarion let out a dry chuckle. "He wasn't even my father, then."

"Well, you wanted the truth, and now you have it," she responded coolly.

Silence enveloped the room as Nefarion's head hung low, grappling with the weight of his newfound knowledge.

"Who is?" Nefarion whispered, his voice barely audible.
