{the author:-removed the faction window as I need It for the plot}

He noticed many changes in his ability window

first was the level of the abilities and a 2nd title" Did Fenrir's soul fully merge with mine and why is it hiding the ability description?"

Leah felt ready as reaching level 2 was enough to pass of the exam so he started moving

The morning sun bathed Sector-12 in warm light, signaling the beginning of a new day. Leah had been eagerly awaiting this moment, the day he would undertake the Hunter's Trial.

This test, administered by the Hunter's Association, was a rite of passage for legacy holders like him and an occasion for guilds to scout him.

" People can receive up to 12 zero figures if they have a legacy of up to legendary rank, that much could pay for unlimited bowls of green paste," says Leah enthusiastically.

The green paste was an all-rich nutrient supplement which often people of the 12th sector bought as they couldn't afford even hard bread. it was just composed of nutrients extracted from insects.

"It tastes like sh*t though, Why am I thinking about green paste. I could buy real chocolate with that money"

As he made his way through the bustling streets, he couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

He had honed his abilities, but the upcoming trial would be the true test of his newfound powers.

He paid all the money he had left to pay for the ticket to Sector 5

Arriving at the Hunter's Association building, a towering structure with a facade that gleamed with the symbols of countless legacies embedded in it.

But the most noticeable ones were the Guilds:-Stormweaver Collective, Order of the Silver Dawn, and last but not the least Bloodmoon Marauders

As they had helped the "THA" with the war against monsters in the past few centuries, The hunter's association permitted them to establish embassies for potential recruits

Leah joined a small group of fellow legacy holders. Each one bore the look of determination, their eyes filled with the same spark of ambition that had led them here just hoping to be recruited by the top 3.

But many would be left disappointed as the reality of this cruel world is just defined by one phrase "The weak are sheep and the strong are the lions"

This phrase shows how the strong can affect and change the world and the weak can only follow the lion's tail.

A seasoned Hunter's Association member, clad in a uniform adorned with various insignias, welcomed the candidates. "Welcome, legacy holders," he said, his voice carrying a weight of authority.

"Today, you will face the Hunter's Trial, a test of your abilities and potential. If you pass, you will earn the right to become a registered hunter, tasked with maintaining order and dealing with legacy-related incidents in Sector-12 Or a guild dog "

Leah noticed how he said that last with so much venom that even he could taste it."I thought they had an alliance"

But Leah who had just awakened couldn't know what big scheme was progressing rapidly hidden in plain sight

The instructor continued, "For the first part of the trial, you will be tested individually. Each of you will enter the Hunter's Den, a specially designed testing ground.

Your goal is to showcase your abilities and adaptability. You will face a series of challenges, and your performance will be assessed thoroughly and we would like to inform you that the president of the {THA} himself has come to witness today's test for unknown reasons"

Everyone knew who the president was and his title was [the priest] "the proclaimed Legendary rank prophet" who could glimpse into the near future

"Does he know about my legacy" Wondered Leah, But he arranged himself and focused on the task ahead

Leah's heart raced as they were led into the Hunter's Den. The vast, cavernous space was divided into smaller areas, each with its unique terrain and challenges. He entered a chamber filled with obstacles and targets.

As he stepped onto the uneven ground, a voice echoed in his mind. It was the legacy of Fenrir, offering guidance. "Stay focused, Leah. Trust in your abilities and the power I've granted you."

He especially chose this one as it had a hard difficulty option and he wanted to show that he was way above his peers and separate himself from the rest from the beginning.

The first challenge was to demonstrate agility and control. Obstacles emerged from the ground, and targets appeared at different heights and distances. Leah activated his Elemental Affinity, feeling a connection to the elements.

The chamber was a symphony of elements waiting to be conducted. Pillars of earth jutted from the ground, each one a challenge to surmount. Suspended targets swayed gently in the air, testing not only his aim but also his ability to control the elements.

With the ease of a practiced warrior, he manipulated the element of air to overcome each obstacle and earth to provide him a platform for changing direction in midair.

The second challenge required brute strength and precision. Massive stone pillars rose from the ground, and targets were embedded in their surfaces.

By seeing an enemy even if it was waiting to be devoured he felt at peace.

He felt the embrace of a good friend he had long forgotten but had started remembering him during these few years of training

"The Thrill " Warriors described it as a way for humans to cope with the deaths they will be causing

But no Leah knew it was much more than that. It provided you with the burst needed for victory. It gave you heightened senses and the desired adrenaline.

It was a dear friend long forgotten by the people in this safe and secure future, But the people in the top knew that The thrill was an actual entity that guided you to victory

Leah's canine teeth instinctively transformed into fangs as strong as steel, thanks to his Wolf's Fangs ability.

With a powerful leap and a swift bite, he shattered the stone pillars with precision, leaving the targets shredded with bite marks.

Leah had completed his 2 tasks and headed towards the instructor leaning on a pole. His bald head gleamed like the moon and it showed that he had no interaction with women

But Leah didn't doubt his skills once as he perceived an aura of a creature way above his own level.

Leah's breath came in heavy gasps. He was met with an approving nod by the instructor who swung his staff in a beautiful dance with a pattern undefinable by the current Leah

The instructor spoke again, "Impressive, legacy holder Leah. You've demonstrated your mastery over your abilities and adaptability, As did many others"

He pointed him towards others who were too exhausted to interact "They probably all tried the easy difficulty, that's why they were so fast" pondered Leah

He noticed that there was a huge digital clock in the center of the room and it seemed as though it was ticking down and only the last minute was left

When the last minute got over. The gates closed rapidly "If I were beneath that I would have gotten squashed "

Then suddenly they heard a loud shout "Everyone gather in the center" The horde did as instructed

Leah saw the instructor who praised him before. He now wore a formal suit and had a badge on his shirt that read The Custodian

As the candidates emerged one by one, the instructor's voice rang out, announcing the results of the first trial.

Each name was met with a mixture of applause and respectful nods. Leah listened intently, a swell of anticipation building within him

"And first place goes to legacy holder Leah," the instructor declared, his tone carrying a note of reverence. "You have shown exceptional skill and mastery over your abilities. Congratulations."

He noticed the way the instructor winked at him "Is he into this??"

The room filled with the sound of enthusiastic applause, echoing the sentiment of the instructor's words.

But Leah knew that beneath all the praising. They had daggers, which would not hesitate to end his life. They will try to ally with him to gain his trust for ulterior motives

However due to his past experiences. He has matured beyond his age and he knows the importance of discernment and the ability to read between the lines in order to thrive in this world of hidden motives and concealed intentions.

He also received many platinum deals for joining their guild

"They want to scout me like the dogs they are," Leah says in a disgusted tone

Leah would only get scouted by the top dogs

His legacy warned him of piercing pressures. He felt as if he was getting smelted by hot nails, "How could the others not feel this, It's so overbearing"

Then he found the source of the pressures exuded on him, it was an entertainment box for VIPs only

"So they are assessing me.....I hope they cannot see my rank" prayed Leah
