1983 Daily Life and Impacts

We are now spending more time with family, and more cousins are born this year and the next. This would be a good time to talk about my cousins and my relationships with them.

We have Damian's older kids, Summer and Jake, on my dad's side. They lived with their mom in Austin most of the time. His kids by his 2nd wife, Brooke; their son, Brayden, was born this year, and their daughter, Winter, will be born next year.

Timmy has 2 kids now; Andrew is older than me, and Anna is younger than me. His wife, unfortunately, drank when she was pregnant with her 2nd son, Michael, in the next year. i will get Ms. Lee to push for the modern surgeon general's warning labels and hope to impact his mental issues.

Valerie will have three daughters by the end of the year: Ariana, Serenity, and Reena. The oldest daughter, Ariana, was fathered by a guy i never met. She took care of me a lot during this period. The second daughter, Serenity, spent most of her time with my older sister. Reena, the youngest daughter, was born this year. She was always the cousin that i was the closest to.

My dad had another daughter in his first marriage, but i only met her once in 2000, so i won't bring her up.

On my mom's side of the family, my uncle Remy's daughter, Skyla, is also born this year. Her younger brother, Charles, will not be born until two years later.

My uncle Liam has 1 daughter with his first wife. She sometimes spent time with my older sister, but i wasn't around her enough to have anything to say about her. With his second wife, Diana, he had 1 son, Robby, who was older than me, and his youngest daughter, Jocelyn, was born this year too. His 3rd wife won't be named because she doesn't spend much time around us; his 2nd son won't be named because i never met him. She divorced him after he started sleeping with his adopted daughter and last wife, Scarlett.

During this time, we were living in Arlington. My sister has a friend at this time who later gets murdered by her fiancee and his side chick. i will look up that information and remember to give it to the cops before then. i don't remember her or her brother, and i won't bother to get close to people i won't remember anyway.

i will message the Democrats about Reagan's SDI (Star Wars program). We should have them cooperate with publicly supporting it, but we would cooperate with Republicans to not fund it privately. It helped to further weaken USSR finances. We would report the impending crimes again both here and in other areas of the world.

Locally, i will push for Texas to increase the maximum sales tax possible (including the federal and state sales tax) to 10 cents per dollar. This would simplify tax calculation. We also will push to mandate that IF cities use the maximum allowable tax, then 1 cent will be mandatory for local transit options (like DART for Dallas and the T for Fort Worth). Then, we can mandate that prices be listed with taxes included (as most other countries do). After that is passed, we can push for national implementation of the maximum sales tax and tax-included initiatives.

Nationally, we also pushed for the nationalization of tracks, with rail companies paying tolls for track usage. We had the federal government allow state controls over the tracks and encouraged them to create bonds for each priority to be recycled back by the tolls charged. Since the nation owns the tracks, the FRA can prevent the excessive labor cuts that the rail companies began to push for. This frees up the funds to push for support to multi-modal transportation to prioritize sea and rail transportation for long distances and allow trucking to be used for first and last-mile transportation instead.

We also need states to create revolving annual bonds to fund maintenance, heavy rail (286,000 pounds), grade separation, and double tracking of all of the possible rail lines, and grade separation in this priority order for each line, all with a priority on the most used lines first. These bonds are repaid by tolls charged on the rail lines. We also need Congress to mandate that abandoned rail lines be taken back into state control for transportation, utility, and trail and rail purposes. They would have done that in 5 more years anyway.

Since i don't have much in my personal life to interest me during this year either, i will just read and watch stuff on my invisible phone to kill time. This year's revenue will be spent to "sponsor" the FEIS for all the future DART rail lines and the operating costs for financing my family and employees. The surrounding member cities should be joining DART when the maximum tax allowed leaves a cut specifically for public transit. Rural areas should use that amount for the local rail (if they still have Amtrak or other passenger rail service) or use part of the percentage for an on-demand bus system. We should be able to push the rail out much quicker in this life. Next year, we should focus on the Trinity River improvements.
