1987 Daily Life and Impacts from OK to Aubrey

This is the time that i will push schools towards reversing their homework policy. Reading during class every day is a waste of time, and carrying books back and forth to class is a waste of effort and injury risk.

Instead, they can have us read in class once as a literacy check and keep extra copies at each desk to reference while we do our "homework" in class. Then, we only have to read at home, and then reviewing the material can become the participation grade before spending the rest of the period on the work or tests/quizzes. With these changes, my grades will shoot towards primarily As (from barely passing most of the time). i will have Ms. Lee donate to the schools to keep my name out of honor rolls, etc.

We also need to push against early violent competition in sports. We need to support fundamental training and teamwork instead. We need to limit the full-contact sports to high school. For example, football, and we need to make high schools use the sports incomes to insure the injuries that kids sustain (instead of parents). Then, we need to require colleges to use profits in the same way first, as well as profit sharing and scholarships for the remainder. Overall, we need football, in particular, to ban helmet-helmet contact due to mental issues connected to concussions.

Politically, this year, i want to support expansions of the child labor laws, especially in the entertainment industry, domestically and globally. Domestically, we must ensure that parents are not using their children to profit. We can do that by forcing most of the amount over the average wage into trusts for the kids. Internationally, the focus needs to be on minimum wages and additional fees per performance (if the person isn't credited for songwriting as well). We will also need to support child support limits for partners who were never married or lived together. After paternity is proven, we will push for the maximum to be locked into the average American wage.

Speaking of minimum wage, we should also get that indexed to inflation. Our economy only succeeds when the lowest earners can spend more. The upper class doesn't spend enough of their wealth to justify the breaks given to them. DART needs to start pushing for the vote to allow long-term debts to begin building the Green and Orange lines that double the reach and range of the light rail. We also can push the NTTA (North Texas Tollway Authority) to move forward with all their future projects. Then, we can make the city change the bond ballot for the Trinity River to this year as well. With the higher taxable income from AdminAll and the increased sales tax capacity, the bonds should be much larger than previously.

Then, we must push for the Dallas Inland Port to use trains to move freight to Dallas to sort and manufacture in south Dallas. This will address the freight capacity in the Houston port and lower unemployment in Dallas. Finally, the Dallas City Council can work with airlines to repeal the Wright amendment to Dallas Love Field with the future compromise and 20-gate limitation. This will speed up the development and commerce in Dallas.

i will forward the "Tear down the Wall" speech to Bush for him to give and make the same iconic impact.

We need to support the Simpsons and Full House on TV and warn Disney that Paris Disneyland will be less impactful in the short term but still have a long-term impact.

This year, we made a total of $78.78 Million, which, after the 6% tax cut to 40%, left $47.268 Million. Then, after Ms. Lee's fee, our profit is $42.541 Million. This year, we will push my family members into selling Granny Jun's house by overpaying for it and moving her closer to Granny Eva's house. We must wait to renovate Granny Eva's house to my desired format. The rest of the money will be donated to TXDOT to buy the right of way for the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. We will cooperate with them, the original donors, and the City of Dallas's bond to fund the bridge next year. Instead, this will clear up a former vehicular road for the trolley/pedestrian bridge.

We then moved briefly to Aubrey. i graduated from Kindergarten there.
