Chapter 82: Thick or Thin

While they were being led by the huge ass crocodilian. They were intercepted by an Archosaurian girl who has a staff.

"Hello, I am Tomimi. Welcome to our tribe, we heard you are strong." She shyly introduced herself and was hoping they would help them fight for the great chief position. (pic)

"Umu, well met. I'm Ash, the big boss if you will. These are my subordinates, Margaret, Degenbrecher, and Shining." Ash introduced themselves as well.

"I should explain to you the four great tribes here. We are called the wilderness will tribe. We consist of the Archosaurians here in Acahualla." Tomimi looked around to show that they were all crocodilians.

"There's Zumama's Eunectes tribe, they are the Pythia." Which were similar to snakes.

"The flint tribe which is a mix, and the Inam committee. They are both ruled by Liberi though." Tomimi finished her explanations.

"How about your chief?" Ash didn't know theirs. "Ohh, she's gone actually. The best fighter of the wilderness will tribe is Gavial. She went to a place called Rhodes island?" Tomimi said with a sad expression.

"Rhodes island? That's an ally of ours, we can have contact with them to let you speak to Gavial." Ash offered and Tomimi lit up like Christmas lights.

"Really? Gavial is actually a childhood friend of mine. So I got quite sad that she left Tiacauh. Oh, welcome to Tiacauh by the way." Tomimi forgot.

"Is that so? But won't the other tribes not accept us for being outsiders?" He raised a brow at Tomimi and she went into deep thought about the issue.

"Yeah, we don't really know what their reaction will be." Tomimi slumped. Zumama of the Eunectes tribe was strong. And Gavial who is also a childhood friend of the Pythia is the only one who can beat her.

"Hmm, I have an idea." Ash grinned and patted Degenbrecher's back. "Ohh? Want me to fight them?"

"I want you to name Degenbrecher as the new chief of your tribe. She's strong anyways, yeah? Tell them that the god of Acahualla told you so." He smirked. Margaret and Shining understood his plans and they chuckled.

"What? But there is no god here in Tiacauh." Tomimi was reluctant.

"Let me show you." Ash flew to the skies and he shot down lightning on a mountain that was far away.

The top of the mountain blew up to smithereens and the Archosaurians were awed.

"A... A god! Forgive me, oh great god of lightning." Tomimi kneeled down and he winced.

"Oooh, great god of lightning. Please don't smite them for their insolence." Degenbrecher teased him and he glared at her.

"I'll definitely punish you later." He smacked her butt and he turned to Tomimi.

"It's fine, now that Degenbrecher is the new chief. She'll be the representative and I will make it legitimate too." It was a nice, simple plan.

But before they could announce it though, a spear pierced through multiple trees. And at the end, there was a brutalized boar.

"Kay found dinner!" They heard the excitable voice of a Perro.

"Damn, she almost killed someone with that." Ash sighed and he ambushed Ceobe while she was trying to butcher the wild boar.

"Hey! Who are you! Let go of Kay! I'll tell on you! Ash would beat the hell out of you, you bad guy!" She struggled violently as he chained her down with a steel beam.

"It's me Kay." He sighed and tried to see if she could notice him.

"You're not Ash, you're a talking chocolate bar!" She started drooling and he sweated a bit.

"Ahhh! That's the girl that bit some of us!" Tomimi shouted and Ash sighed in relief.

"You're lucky she only bit you." Ash replied tiredly and he began flushing out the toxins in her system.

"You sure ate a lot... This would kill normal people in seconds." He shook his head at Kay being careless.

"Uhh, wha? Ash?" Ceobe sobered up and he smiled. "Kay, you shouldn't eat something off the ground you know?"

"I had a good dream, there were walking hunks of cooked meat and snacks everywhere. I tried to eat them, but they fought back." She was sad about that.

"Don't change Kay, except don't eat things off the ground alright?" He rubbed her ears and she cheered up.

"I'm hungry though. A mister chocolate bar was the last thing I saw." He heard Degenbrecher laugh and the other two giggle.

"What?" He raised a brow and Degenbrecher stopped. "Probably because your skin tone is gray. That's why she saw you as chocolate. Rawr, can I have a bite later?" She licked her lips.

"Not now Degenbrecher." Shining chided her and he rolled his eyes.

"Come on Tomimi, let's get Degenbrecher instated as the chief." Ash gestured for the crocodilian to move.

"O-oh, right." She started to gather the members of the wilderness will tribe.

"Hello everyone, I have received an oracle from the great god of lightning that boss Degenbrecher will be our new chief!" Tomimi announced and the Archosaurians started whispering.

"Remember the lightning that blew up that mountain? That was his power, he said to accept it or he will smite us where we stand." Tomimi read some lines.

She was being fed lines by Shining and Margaret through some placards from the rear of the gathering.

"Um, boss Degenbrecher. We just have one question though." A tribe member raised a hand.

"Shut up man, you can't ask our chief that." His friend hissed and Degenbrecher nodded.

"We have been having a great debate, what do you prefer? Thick or thin tails? Tomimi has a nice and thick tail, it is sublime. But this heretic says that thin ones are the best!" He pointed at his friend.

"What!? That's heresy! The thin ones which can wrap around you and can be used as whips are the best ones!" The crowd got divided and the females glared at them.

Their tails were like accessories for courtship after all. It's like perverts talking about which was better, big boobs or flat ones.

Degenbrecher didn't know what to say to that and she looked at Ash for answers.

"Go on, let them continue the arguments." Ash teased her and she pouted at him.

"No! That soft and thick tail is the best! You can cuddle it really well and it has weight to it. It's the best pillow too!" The leader of team thick tails argued.

"Hmph, then aren't you just liking the tail? With thin ones, it is more balanced and you'd be closer to them. You can also... Intertwine tails." The two groups gasped and they blushed.

"What? It's just intertwining tails?" Shining was confused.

"I don't know really, this is another culture." Margaret shrugged.

They then saw a couple intertwine tails. But kids were watching so Ash censored it by manipulating the light, turning it blurry.

"Okay, okay, I understand both of you. Both is good, thick ones are soft and warm, while thin ones are more practical. It depends on your preference damnit." Degenbrecher stopped the great debate.

The leaders of the two factions stared at each other and they nodded at each other.

"I see what you mean, Tomimi's tail does look like it would be pleasant to sleep on." Team thin tails agreed.

"Umu, and thin ones can... Intertwine, that is also a good one. It's too lewd though." Team thick tails shook hands with the other one.

"So it's like holding hands or something? These guys are a bit conservative." Ash held Shining and Margaret's hand.

Tomimi got annoyed by the leader of the thick tails for using her as the example. She was quite conscious of her tail actually.

Because it was thiccc with three C's. "Chief, please follow me to the temple then. There, we will start the Mahuizottia festival."

Degenbrecher nodded and they went with them towards their temple. "The previous great chief actually had an accident. He's now injured and now, we're picking the new one with the festival."

Tomimi expounded on the festival. The four chiefs of the tribes will have a tournament to battle each other. Last one standing wins.

"I don't know, accidents sounds fishy to me." Ash squinted his eyes and thought that something definitely happened to the guy.

"Yeah, a sudden accident? How can you have an accident here in a forest when you lived here all your life. People here must know this place like the back of their hand." Shining was vigilant.

"Is that? Music?" Margaret swore that she knows where it came from.

"Alive until Sunset?" Ash looked towards Tomimi and she smiled after remembering them.

"Ohh, the Aegirians? They actually gave us some speakers. They also signed albums that the girls gave to us after we paid for it in goods." Tomimi pointed at the temple.

There were some speakers there, playing the music of the aquatic Feranmuts.

"Uhhh, there's electricity here?" Ash was dumbfounded. There was an originium generator in the middle of a forest.

"Yes, we're not savages you know? We use electricity for lights at night. It gets dark here." Tomimi raised a brow and she was confused on why they couldn't believe it.

"Okay, you guys are pretty modern. All things considered." Degenbrecher looked around and saw that the temple is quite advanced.

The place even had some glowing signs to it. They totally expected it to be au naturale. With the temple having torches on the walls or something.

"It is high time that you arrived Tomimi, are you the representative of the wilderness will tribe?" A short haired woman carrying a metal shield and improvised axe from scraps greeted. (pic)

Degenbrecher whistled at the sight of the Pythia. "Damn, her butt and thighs are thick." Shining and Margaret sighed at her antics.

"Wow indeed." Ash observed her, she was barely clothed. And the straps on her thighs were digging in on her fat thighs.

"Can someone look that slender and sexy at the same time?" Degenbrecher poked at her thighs, they were the sporty type that can pop watermelons.

"Uhh, Zumama. This is our chief, the great god of lightning willed it." Tomimi introduced Degenbrecher.

She raised a brow and the other participants also broke into whispers.

"Hmph, no matter. I've already beaten Flint and Inam. I will be the great chief of Acahualla." Zumama prepared for battle.

"She's a feisty one isn't she?" Ash smiled at Degenbrecher.

"Yeah, it will be a pleasure to bring her down a peg." The caprinae licked her lips.

They went into an arena that was just a drawn circle.

Zumama walked around Degenbrecher who has her eyes closed. Just waiting around lazily.

"Hah!" The Pythia suddenly pounced and aimed her axe at Degenbrecher. She dodged it with a hair thin gap.

"I thought you're going to be the chief eh?" Degenbrecher grinned at her.

"Don't worry, you dodge well. But I will win!" Zumama began to press the attack.

Rushing at the caprinae with a shield bash, Degenbrecher kicked at her scrappy shield and it broke into pieces as Zumama's guard broke.

The Pythia went wide eyed at her unreasonable strength and Degenbrecher swooped in with a low kick. Sweeping her legs, making Zumama fall to the ground.

She glared at Degenbrecher, the caprinae wasn't even drawing her weapon. And the peanut gallery were of course buzzing.

Whispering that Zumama is outmatched by the chief of the wilderness will tribe.

"Come on, I'm getting sleepy." Degenbrecher yawned and Zumama gritted her teeth.

Using her tail, she wrapped it around her leg and Zumama grinned. She pulled Degenbrecher's leg, but it didn't budge.

With the caprinae digging her foot deep on the ground. It was anchored and Zumama was straining to take her down.

"Let's end this shall we?" She pulled her leg backwards and Zumama went flying towards Degenbrecher.

The Pythia suddenly saw stars when Degenbrecher did a clothesline on her and her head suddenly dropped to the ground.

"T-the new great chief! Degenbrecher of the Wilderness will tribe!" The officiator announced.

"Tomimi, we done here? Acahualla is a pretty nice place. We're going to relax here a bit." Degenbrecher shrugged.

"Yeah, there's a nice waterfall near here. I can smell the water coming from there." Ash pointed at a certain direction. He also saw it when he was flying.

"A vacation? Are you certain that we should be doing that?" Margaret got worried because he was busy.

"Just a bit of fun, no harm no foul." Ash waved it off nonchalantly.

"Look out!" The crowd then started to run away due to a modified mech that was created with scraps. (pic)

"The hell? Is that like a blue toucan piloting that thing?" Ash saw a bird controlling it. And not a Liberi, a literal bird.

"How about you taste the might of our walker!" Zumama shouted and the bird fired the cannon of the thing at the temple.

Ash raised his hand and stopped the ammunition from hitting anything, sapping its kinetic energy.

"Uhh, no we aren't." He flicked his wrist and the bullet flew away.

Zumama and the bird suddenly got nervous. He was as tall as the contraption. And he began walking towards the mech.

It suddenly tried to punch him with its left hand that looked like a tenderizer.

He stopped it dead on its tracks with a finger and the arm of the mech got taken off due to the stress on its joint.

"High priest! The other one!" Zumama shouted in urgency and the remaining arm which was attached with a drill for quarries started spinning.

It was a thick buzzsaw that is used to break rocks. But he also held it and the mechanism of it started smoking.

"You should really stop you know?" Ash bent the cannon in front and turned it into a pretzel with his bare hands, scaring the crap out of the bird.

"No way, our walker. We built that for a long time, he just dismantled it like it was a toy." Zumama despaired.

It was perfect, they dropped some debris on the current great chief to incapacitate him. And then Zumama would take over in the festival to be the new great chief.

Then they'll usher in modernization in Acahualla. Using machines like their mech to make their lives easier.

"Hmmm? You built this thing? I'd have to say, normal people would be defeated by this." Ash was impressed at their resourcefulness.

"How about we have a deal?" He grinned at her and Zumama gulped.
