Chapter 25

"Amber...." I heard my name being called. I opened my eyes and all that surrounded me was darkness. a familiar darkness almost as if I had been here before. "hello Amber" a female voice spoke softly. "Selene..." I said solemnly, as she appeared before Me.

"I guess I'm really dead this time huh" I said. "unfortunately so" she replied. "what happens now?" I asked her "what ever you wish" she said. "you could reincarnate or stay here and watch your child grow. you could even go to peace in you so wish" she said. "do you give everyone these options?" I questioned with a chuckle. "only those who's fate was messed with" she replied.

"what?" I questioned. "unfortunately I cannot tell you more then that" she said "will Kyra be ok?" I asked. unfortunately I do not know her fate but if she is anything like you her mother I have no doubt she will be great" she said.

Days had passed since the tragic death of Amber Lewis and Sarah Blood. When Kyra awoke she had already been found by Nathan and Chris and taken back to nathans pack.

"She can't be dead" Kyra said not believing the words she had just been told. "SHE CANT BE DEAD!" Kyra cried Chris hugged her as he tried to hide the emotions he was feeling from losing his mate. "I am so sorry Kyra" he said "LET ME GO!" she said pushing him away then ran.

"She's really gone?" Nathan questioned "their both really gone" he said. "all 3 of my children lost their mother" Nathan said solemnly.

when Kyra ran she didn't run alone. Adam stayed with her watching her from a distance making sure nothing would happen to her.

Kyra didn't stop running until she made it into the woods. far enough where she thought no one could hear her scream. "Ahhhhhhh" she screamed. energy came out of her causing the trees to shake. then she picked up the tree lifting it into the air not with strength but almost telekinetic power.

she used her knew found power and began ripping trees out of the ground and throwing them as far as she could as she continued to scream out in emotional pain.

as she continued to throw anything she saw destroying it, debris from the broken trees and rocks she was throwing cam flying at her hitting her skin and making her bleed.

Adam couldn't watch her hurt herself like this anymore.

he came out from the tree he was hiding behind and walked over to her but still keeping a slight distance. "kyra" he said as she continued to throw random things. "kyra stop" he said again. and she only continued to throw the trees and rocks with all her might causing more debris to hit her. "STOP!" Adam said one last time unsure of what to do. then she stopped.

she slowly turned to him. sadness, anger and guilt written all over her face. Adam walked closer to her and caressed her face lightly with both of his hands. electricity shot through him confirming that they were mates. at this moment he looked at her, trying to be strong, trying to hold it in. it broke his heart to see her like this.

"Stop" he said calmly as he looked into her eyes. "Just for today don't be a hybrid, don't be strong" he told her as the tears began to roll down her cheeks. "it's ok" he said "let it out" he added as Kyra fell to her knees crying and he fell with her.

"Just for tonight let yourself fall apart" he said hugging her. "I promise to hold you together" he said lovingly.

He sat holding her in his arms as she cried for 3 hours before she finally cried herself to sleep. he stood up then carefully picked her up as if not to wake her. he looked down at her pale face and still wet eyes. he wished she didn't feel this way. he wished she didn't lose her mother, and worried what would happen now that, the one person who kept her in check was gone.

he slowly walked her home and took her to her room laying her down on her bed, and lightly tucking her in.

When Kyra awoke once again it was morning.

"how are you feeling?" Adam asked as he stood in the doorway of her room. she was silent for a moment. "please tell me it was all just a bad dream" she said looking up at him. he turned his head away avoiding eye contact. "I wish it was" he replied solemnly.

"What about Sarah?" Kyra asked, Adam was unsure whether it was out of concern because sarah was her step mother or anguish at the betrayal Sarah committed. "she's dead so are the vampire and witch.... all turned to ash according to Alpha Chris" Adam replied.

"I see" she said then threw the blankets off of her and sat up putting her feet on the floor. "What are you doing?" Adam asked confused, as Kyra stood up and began looking for clothes. "She stopped for a moment and turned to him. "you said Sarah was dead?" she questioned once more just to be sure. "yeah" he answered confused as Kyra continued what she was doing.

"I'm not the only one who lost a mother" she told him as she picked out her outfit for the day. "what are you talking about?" he asked. she sighed as she turned to him once again. "right we haven't known each other long so you probably didn't know" she stated. "Sarah is... or was the mother of twins, my younger brother and sister, Ethan and ava" she explained. "and right now they need me more then anyone else" she said looking down.

"What about your feelings kyra?" Adam asked. "you also lost your mother.... if your helping them grieve then when will you?" he asked co concerned.

She smiled lightly, "when I'm with you" she answered honestly.
