Chapter 17

Kyra opened her eyes to see only a familiar darkness surrounding her. "Where are you dammit!" She yelled, spinning around "I know you're here!" She added. "You truly are too smart for your own good Kyra," Mikail said, appearing behind her forcing her to turn to him.

"I swear to the gods I will kill you" she told him. "If it were truly that easy I'm sure I would have stayed dead" he told her. Kyras attempt to punch him failed as her fist went through him almost as if he was a ghost. "Unlike the past I'm not completely here" he told her. "This place, your own mind, has once more become your prison," Mikail said.

"You may be able to keep me here but even you don't have the power to control me. You have no influence over me anymore and without that..." Kyra said, turning away from him. "You have nothing," she said.

"DAMMIT," Mikail yelled. "What is it?" Nina asked. "The damn bitch!" He snapped, turning away from Kyra who still laid unconscious on the table.

"Like I said we should just kill her and be done with it" Nina told him. "No," Mikail told her. "I have an idea to control her and if that doesn't work...." he said, turning back to Kyra. "I'll find another way to make use of her," he added.

"Have you found her yet?" Chris asked, pacing through Sasha's house. "Yeah," Sasha said, opening her eyes. "She's with Mikail and that girl, unconscious it looks like" Sasha added.

"We need to get her back," Chris said as Sasha stood up. "I think I can help with that," a man said, appearing in the doorway. "Cedric Morrison" Chris said through his teeth. "I'm sorry who?" Sasha asked. "He's a high ranking member of the council" Chris told Sasha. "He's also one of the many people after kyra," Chris added.

"And I'm prepared to make a deal regarding her," Cedric said. "What sort of deal?" Sasha asked. "I'll stop hunting her if she stops killing every supernatural creature that crosses her path," he said. "You know that's not up to us," Chris told Cedric. "That's exactly why I'm willing to help you," Cedric replied.

"Plus that bastard Mikail and his little witch have been pissing me off as of late and I figured it would be better to use Kyra Lewis to get rid of them then do it with my own hands' ' cedric added.

"Except one problem" Sasha interjected. "I think it was kyras mother who killed him once maybe twice if I heard right and he's still not dead" Sasha explained. "That is exactly what this is for" cedric said pulling out a gun. "The bullets in this gun are made to kill any target wolf, witch or vampire, even a hybrid like Mikail," Cedric told them. "And what about kyra?" Chris asked.

"She is technically a being derived from divinity or something like that, the point is she is basically a part of the goddess so I think she is the only thing who can't be killed by it unfortunately" cedric answered.

"Now I think it's about time we get some people together and get moving," Cedric said.

"Dammit it didn't work!" Mikail snapped. "Again I see," Nina said sarcastically. "I've had enough of this time for plan C" Mikail said, holding his hands above Kyra. "What are you doing?" Nina asked to get up from her chair. "Taking her power" he told her.

"dimitte virtutem ex corpore isto et da mihi" Mikail said and suddenly green energy from kyras body began to flow into his hands. "So much power" Mikail said as he enjoyed the power that entered his body making him feel unstoppable.

"My god it's never ending" Nina said as she watched Kyra's power go into Mikail in amazement. "Isn't it?" Mikail stated proudly. Finally the glowing green energy faded as the last little bit of kyras power entered his body.

"Awaken" Mikail said and kyras eyes shot open. Mikail stepped back as Kyra practically jumped off the table. "What did you do?" She asked him almost as if knowing what he had done. "He took your power," Nina said. "The powerful hybrid that once was is now no longer" Nina laughed.

"repelle" Kyra said, throwing her hand up at Mikail. But nothing happened. "Told you," Mikail said as he kicked her to the ground. "You might as well be human now," he told her.

Kyra suddenly swung her leg under him causing Mikail to fall to the ground. She quickly got up and ran.

"Dammit" she said to herself as she made it out of the warehouse and ran into the woods. This couldn't be happening. She thought as she continued to run. There was no way she actually had her powers taken from her.

Suddenly she stopped behind a tree to hide. "Kyra, where are you?" mikails voice rang throughout the forest. "I believe it's finally time you die" Nina added. Stay calm. Kyra told herself. She just had to stay hidden.

If she died there was no way anyone she cared for would survive. After all it wasn't as if she actually knew their plan.

"There you are," Nina said, grabbing Kyra by the neck and pinning her to the tree. Kyra tried to use what little strength she had to take Nina's hand off her throat but was unable. "You have no clue how long I've waited for this day" Nina told her with an evil smile on her face.

Kyras hand suddenly became a claw. "And here I was gonna give you a chance to live," Kyra said before stabbing her hairy claws into Nina's chest and ripping out her heart. As Nina's lifeless body hit the ground as did Kyra. Her bloody hand that bow held Nina's heart shifted back into a normal hand. She was glad to know she still had some powers.

As Kyra stood up and walked around the tree she quickly saw Sasha, Ava Ethan mia and even that bastard cedric pinned against a tree. Mikail stood in front of her only a few feet but close enough. "What do you say kyra" mikail said with a smile. As he held a knife to Chris's throat. "Your life... or his..." mikail added.
