Chapter - 1 Hospital

It's not about what you lost, it's about what you gained.

It was almost 1 o'clock at night. All the officers were in a meeting in the CBI office when the phone rang in the CBI office. Officer 'Rao' asked Junior Officer Chetan to pick up the phone. At that time Chetan was thinking about something, so he did not pay attention to the officer's Rao.

Officer Rao (said while looking angrily) - Chetan, I told you something, where is your attention?

Chetan (woke up trembling) – Did you say something to me, sir?

Rao (looking with angry red eyes) - Yes, where is your attention? Attend the call, and go fast, the phone is ringing very late.

Chetan – Yes sir.

Chetan picked up the call - – Hello!

Chetan had just said hello when someone from there said that I have to talk to officer 'Rao'.

Chetan (said looking at 'Rao') - Sir, this call is for you h.

Taking the phone, Rao said – I am Officer Rao.

A voice came from there, Sir, we have found her (said in a gasping voice).

Rao – Are you sure it is the same, Deshmukh?

Deshmukh said – Yes, sir. Mr.Rathod is also with us, he is hurt, and all our officers are also injured.

Rao - OK, where are you all?

Deshmukh spoke from the other side - We're all in the ambulance and headed for the hospital. Her condition is severe.

Rao- Okay, we're all on our way.

Rao asked all the officers to go with him.

The ambulance reached the hospital, and some ward boys and nurses went near the ambulance.

A stretcher came out of the ambulance on which a girl in critical condition was being kept with an oxygen mask. There was a lot of blood running out of her head, she was barely able to breathe. After that, the hospital doctors came to see her.The doctors took that girl to the O R.

All other people who were injured began treatment in the ER. Then one of those doctors said where is Dr. Rishi? Then a nurse says that he is currently in the operating theater, and the operation will last for 1 more hour.

After a while, Rao comes and asks Deshmukh, where is she?

Deshmukh – She's going through surgery.

Rao – Where is Mr. Rathod or how is he now?

Deshmukh – He got shot. But there is nothing to panic about, the bullet had just missed. He has been treated, and at present, he is in Ward 5, Room no 7.

Rao – Okay. I'm on my way to meet him.

Deshmukh – Sir, right now he's sleeping because of the anesthetic, so he's gonna take some time to come to his senses. And their security is tight, with no higher clearance, no one can access it, including you.

Rao ( getting anxious)- What happened to our officers?

Deshmukh – They are all being treated.

Rao – You all give your statement. How did all this happen? And yes, how do you know she is there?

Deshmukh – Sir, I don't know. I got a call from Mr. Rathore. And ACP Vijay of the Special Crime Branch was with him. He was already present there with his team.I also don't know why, despite our best efforts, we didn't find any evidence of whether she was alive or not, but how did the Special Crime Branch come to know where she was? I don't understand this either, huh?

Rao – OK, no issue, I'll take care of this case, since it belongs to us.

(ACP Vijay interrupted Rao just as he finished speaking and said from behind Rao.)

Vijay – Yes, why not? You didn't even know whether she was alive or dead. Furthermore, you don't spend any time providing evidence that she passed away.

Rao – Look, you have no idea how much we have tried. Therefore, there is no need for you to worry about this; we will take care of it.

Vijay – Look, Sir, I respect you a lot, but whatever is happening is not right. I think there is a significant conspiracy going on.

Rao – You should not get involved in the situation personally. Keep personal thoughts to yourself even though I know you two are really close friends.

Both were arguing with each other when someone interrupted them and said loudly, Enough is enough, this is the hospital, and both of you officers; do the two of you enjoy having these types of arguments?

When they both turned at the same time, they saw a young man standing who was between 30 and 35 years old, around 6 feet tall, with a muscular build, a fair complexion, and dark brown eyes. He was none other than CBI officer SSP Prithvi Chauhan.
