They both rushed to college and kept their bags in the staff room. When no one was around, they started looking for something in the room.
While they were searching for something in the staff room, Sidharth heard the footsteps of someone approaching the room. Both of them looked up to see a woman in her 40s enter the room. She appeared to be quite ordinary, with dyed hair and a height of around 5 feet. Her appearance suggested a mature age. She walked straight to a chair, sat down, and asked, "What were you both discussing?"
Sidharth replied, "Nothing special, just about the study notes and what to teach in today's class. Lovely miss, you came quite early, didn't you?"
The lady teacher corrected him, "It's not Lovely, it's Bubly."
Sidharth apologized, "Oh, sorry Bubly miss."
Miss Bubly asked, "Do you both know each other from before?"
Both Dr. Singh and Sidharth spoke simultaneously.
Dr. Singh: "Yes."
Sidharth: "No."
Miss Bubly was confused: "Yes or no? Do you know each other or not?"
As Dr. Singh was about to say something, Sidharth quickly said, "No. Then, with a smile, Sidharth looked at Dr. Singh and whispered, "Sidharth Maheshwari and Dr. Singh have never met before today, and nobody knows how they look."
Dr. Singh, nervously looking at Sidharth, whispered back, "Meaning, nobody knows how they look? What if someone recognizes us or figures it out?"
Sidharth spoke softly: "No one will figure it out. Both of them rarely give lectures at any college. Only a select few people know them. Nobody knows how they look. They are known through their books and research papers."
Dr. Singh, sighing with relief, said, "Alright then."
Miss Bubly overheard this and asked, "Alright then, what?"
Dr. Singh, with an awkward smile, chuckled, "It's nothing."
Miss Bubly, putting on her glasses, remarked, "Seems like there's something. What were you two whispering about after seeing me?"
Sidharth replied, "Oh, we were just asking about each other's well-being."
Miss Bubly took out a page from her purse, placed it on the table in front of both of them, and said, "Now, let's get down to business."
Both of them were shocked when they looked at the paper.
Miss Bubly said, "Deal. Someone gave a tip at 2 o'clock this afternoon. You both need to investigate. Now, I must go; it's getting late for my class."
With that, Miss Bubly left the room. As she was leaving, Dr. Singh asked, "What was that about?"
Sidharth replied,- One of our officers is already here.
Dr. Singh (looking at him with a questioning gaze) asked, "Did you know about it beforehand?"
Sidharth replied, "No, the department had kept this information hidden because two of our officers got exposed during the mission. So, they kept it under wraps."
Dr. Singh asked, "Then how did you know she was from our side?"
Sidharth explained, "Because I received this information earlier today."
Dr. Singh (getting irritated) questioned, "And when were you planning to tell me this? After I went up? If she's on our team, then why did you tell her that we'd never met before? There was no need for that."
Sidharth (looking at Singh) apologized, "I made a mistake. And it's crucial for us to stay in character."
Dr. Singh (in an annoyed tone) said, "Fine. Now, let's see what's written on that page."
They both unfolded the page together and saw that at the top, it said "Suspect," followed by four names: 1. Kirti, 2. Saket, 3. Mahesh, and 4. Professor Milind
And at the very bottom, it was written, "Maybe do some preparation next time if you were so eager to become Dr. Singh and Sidharth Maheshwari. Try studying your subjects instead of being duffers."
