"Both of them unfolded the folded page together to see what was written on it. At the top of the page, the word 'suspect' was written, and below it were the names of four people: 1. Kirti, 2. Saket, 3. Mahesh, and 4. Professor Milind.
As soon as they saw the names, Dr. Singh took out his mobile phone and took a picture. He called someone and said, 'Yes, I'm speaking. I'm sending you a photo; find out about these names in it. He also mentioned that they all belong to this college. After saying this, he hung up.
Sidharth was closely examining those names. Dr. Singh asked, 'Why are you looking at these names so intently?'
Sidharth replied, 'Because one of them is the son of a minister.'
Dr. Singh (surprised): 'What? How did you know?'
Sidharth (looking sharply): 'You didn't read the file, did you? The one with all the information about the college?'
Dr. Singh (avoiding eye contact and nervously tearing a piece of paper): 'Oh, that file! I forgot I had read it. My mistake.'
Sidharth (taking a deep breath): 'At least tell the lie properly.' Saying this, he left the classroom.
Dr. Singh took a deep breath and made a call on his mobile phone, asking for the file containing information about the college to be sent to him quickly. He then hung up and muttered to himself that he shouldn't have left the file incomplete.
After the college ended, Sidharth was waiting for Dr. Singh. As Dr. Singh was leaving the college gate, Sidharth arrived in a car and asked him to get in.
Dr. Singh asked, 'Where are we going?'
Sidharth (starting the car): 'After Milind. Our men are following all the other suspects. Right now, we need to follow Milind.'
Dr. Singh was surprised and asked, 'But how will we meet Milind? You said he's going to the CFG club at 6 p.m. The rest of our department is not a member there, and we can't enter that club. It's the biggest club in the city, and we don't have the qualifications to become members. It's a club for the wealthy.'
At 6 p.m., at the CFG club:
The CFG club was the city's largest club, and only club members were allowed to enter. Club memberships started at $5 million and were exclusive to the affluent.
In front of the CFG club, a car arrived, which clearly cost no less than $10 million. Sidharth stepped out of it, dressed in a light sky-blue shirt and black pants. He had also changed his hairstyle, and he looked nothing less than a movie hero. Dr. Singh accompanied him, dressed decently in a white shirt and a dark brown coat and pants.
As soon as they stepped inside, they were greeted by a valet who took their car for parking. They both went to the reception, where they were asked to show their membership cards. Sidharth pulled his card out of his pocket and showed it to the receptionist. The receptionist swiped the card on a machine to verify its authenticity. A voice from the machine confirmed the card's details, and the receptionist returned the card and said Welcome, Mr. Mehra. Both of them proceeded inside, where the music was extremely loud and people were dancing.
Dr. Singh commented, 'It's good that Mehra accompanied us.'
Sidharth (smiling): 'Yes, it wouldn't have been good for him if he didn't.'
They found seats that provided a good view of the surroundings and ordered drinks. As Sidharth lifted his drink to take a sip, his gaze landed on the dance floor. There, a girl in a light pink dress was dancing, looking extremely beautiful. Sidharth couldn't take his eyes off her, and his heart started beating faster. His gaze was fixed on her. It was as if time had stopped for him. After a while, when that girl, while dancing, saw Sidharth, she waved at him. She recognized him from the dance floor. She is none other than Naina.
