Fourth Night

Lydia and Sebastian weren't alone for too long before Claude found them. He smirked, "Worry not, I was perfectly quiet. Your young master will never know that I was here."

Lydia shook her head at him, but chuckled, "I still cannot believe the outfit that you wore on the train. You call that fitting in?"

"It was what His Highness picked out," Claude sighed.

"Well, I'm glad that you helped. Thank you," she smiled.

Claude moved closer to her and laid beside her, "Don't you realize that we would do anything for you, love?"

"Anything?" Lydia said with a little shock.

Sebastian bent closer to her ear. "Of course, darling. Anything," then he smirked. "Don't you think that you should tell Claude about the little stunt you pulled today?"

Lydia moved her eyes to Sebastian who was giving her a knowing look, "I mean is that really necessary?"

Claude moved his hands over her skin, lowering his lips to her collarbone. As he kissed along it he spoke, "Little mate, you should know that it is fruitless to keep things from either one of us."

Lydia's heart was racing as their touch and kisses sent flames all over her skin. She took in an unsteady breath and told the story, "In order for people to not get sick, I asked the older lady for all her rice balls. I told her, in a roundabout way, that I was pregnant so that she wouldn't question why I needed all of them. I thought it was a good cover story. Sebastian already asked me about it. I certainly don't know if I am. It would be too soon to tell."

"That was quick thinking. I'm proud of you," Claude said as he looked at her. "However you're wrong."

"Wrong about what?" Lydia asked.

"Well, how should I explain this," Claude said with a hand to his chin. "I have been around pregnant demonesses. It's rare, but it happens. A demon pregnancy is not as long as a human one."

"That's right," Sebastian said. "I'd nearly forgotten."

"How?" Lydia asked.

"I've been gone from the Hell for many, many centuries," Sebastian said unconcerned.

"Well, then how long is a pregnancy for demons?" Lydia asked, looking at them both.

"Somewhere between 3 and 4 months," Claude told her.

Lydia was shocked. She could be pregnant right now and not know. Sebastian took her chin in his hand, "What is it, love, does that upset you in some way?"

"No, no, I'm not upset. I'm in shock. I have no idea what to expect," Lydia explained.

Claude then took her chin and made her face him, "What you can expect is plenty of love and support for your mates."

"And it wouldn't matter which one had fathered the child?" Lydia asked nervously.

"Never," Claude promised.

"We are your family now," Sebastian said.

Lydia lay with the two of them for several moments just enjoying their company before she sat up quickly. "What's the matter?" Claude asked.

Lydia shook her head, "It's bad!"

"How bad could it be, love?" Sebastian asked.

"I'm sure you gave Ceil the message from Claude, correct?" Lydia asked.

Sebastian nodded. "It was for a ball. A costume ball, specifically. Ceil is going to go to investigate Alois."

"Surely it cannot be that bad?" Claude asked.

"It is. Just let me tell you," Lydia said and then set out to explain what would happen while at the Trancy manor. "... And in the end, Alois orders Claude to get Ceil for him, and Ceil orders Sebastian to protect him no matter what. I-I just don't see a way to stop this from happening," she was chewing on her nails. "If only the contract could be moved to Hannah!"

Claude looked offended, "Why on Earth would you say that?"

So Lydia explained about Alois' 'brother' and his wish to Hannah and how she had eaten his soul. At the end of the show, Alois' soul was eaten by Hannah anyway. If only they could change it so that Hannah held the contract. "It's not a practice commonly done, but it can be," Sebastian said. "Two demons can agree to exchange their prey."

"I hadn't thought of that," Claude said.

"Do you think Hannah would agree?" Lydia asked.

"If she wants everything that you say that she wants, then I don't see why not," Claude said.

"I still think it would be helpful if I spoke with her before you did it," Lydia pointed out.

"Why's that?" Sebastian asked.

"I'm not going to tell her the future, but if she's going to get Alois' soul contract then I can't imagine that Alois will be grateful at first. I just want to have a little girl talk with her," Lydia said.

"Alright, love," Claude kissed her forehead.

"Now can we enjoy our mate?" Sebastian said wickedly.

It was another long but pleasurable night.
