The secret

My heart started beating so fast. I started looking around to find something from which I could defend myself. I rose to my feet and jumped onto the kitchen counter, opened the drawer, and saw there was a spoon there. I then opened the next drawer, and it was vacant. My hands started trembling. I started seeing my death in front of my eyes.

I started opening other drawers and cabinets, but I did not find anything to defend myself. I then felt someone's hand on my shoulder. At first, I was hesitant to look, but then I found some courage and looked over my shoulder and saw no one there. I felt relieved. But in the next minute, I felt something grabbing my right foot.
