Joining the faction ..

"His right, joining a faction would give us more chance of survival and we can share our benefits as a faction"

The chatters continued and soon more and more people started accepting the offer.

"Hey what do you say, should we join the faction" Emmy asked Nolan who was still busy scanning through the crowd in hope.

"Huh?" He turned to her "Sorry I didn't....." he was left midway into his statement when the rest of Emmy's teammates approached her.

"Are we going to join the faction or are we going solo" The blonde haired guy who seemed to be heading the. group asked.

He folded his muscular arm across his thick brown leathery armor as he waited for a reply from Emmy who then threw a glance towards Nolan.

Following her eyes the rest of the group glanced at Nolan, leaving the group in awkward silence.

"Hhmp" Nolan cleared his throat as he didn't expect the question to be suddenly thrown at him.

"Well I don't feel like it's a bad idea, I mean we all participated in the test program and we saw the benefits it had" Awe washed over their faces as they were shocked as to how Nolan knew that they participated in the test program.

"How....did.. you. know?" Emmy asked stuttering her words.

"You used the same names from the test program and I recognized them from the leader board" Nolan explained bluntly.

"I think I'm already liking this guy" the blonde haired guy said crossing his hands over Nolan shoulders.

"The names frank, I think you'll make a good teammate" he said with a bright smile. Nolan didn't know what to do at the moment, he hadn't fully accepted to join their little team and they had already indirectly forced him in.

Smiling wryly he replied, "Yeah I think I can say the same for you too"

"So it's been decided we're joining the faction" Emmy declared and the group accepted the invite simultaneously.

[You have joined the red skull faction]

In a blink of an eye many had left the gathering but a majority was still left. Seeing that no one else was leaving Codex took a deep breath, cursing the people that had left inwardly.

"I believe those of you that are still here have decided to join my faction. Welcome! And I hope for the best of your co-operation...." He went on to tell the group the divisions and the working system he'd implored for the faction.

"..... For now I think the major aim will be to gather enough faction points which would be distributed later on as nano points. At least till we find a way out of this game.

Those that can fight can go take missions can take quest from the world quest board under the name of the faction. You can break into teams to ensure safety. it would greatly help in building a good fort....."

Immediately he was done, everyone went to work, everything was arranged quickly almost as though there was a war coming up. This was because of the fear that still lingered in the mind of many from what Codex had said earlier.

Those who weren't interested in fighting were urged to take menial works to gather nano points for the faction as well, nothing was left unturned.

"Yeah I don't think I can go around cutting grasses to earn points" Frank suddenly disrupted the silence, bringing up the topic of what they do do.

"Same here" another member of the group supported sweeping her long black hair backward.

"I don't see the fun in that I know we're trapped in here, but I don't think it's a good idea to go around doing petty works. This is an open world game and not a work place" she added and Frank nodded his head in support.

"Yeah you're right, we can't possibly die" Emmy said not so certain of the last part as the thought kept lingering in her mind.

Sure they had three lives in the game. When a character is hit in a critical place. they die and are brought back to the last check point. But what would happen if they were still trapped in the game and the three lives were exhausted?

"Now this is a really lively team" Ra's annoying voice suddenly rang inside Nolan's head. For a moment he had forgotten he still had one annoying system.

"Keep quiet!" he muttered under his breath.

"So we can head to the world quest board and get a mission for the five of us, except you're not coming along?" Emmy said directing the question towards Nolan who had been quiet throughout their discussion.

"Bro, you're too stiff, are you crushing or something?" Frank teased, giving him a soft pat on the back.

"Hey I'm not cru...." He retort back but as he glanced at the two girls, Emmy and the black haired girl who had the character name Kinki, he swallowed his words back in embarrassment.

"No I don't have any issues with the plan" he replied ignoring franks chuckle, "Alright then, let's head out" Emmy said taking the lead as the group made their way to the world quest board.

*********

Tenkin stood up gently reaching out and pressing the palm of his right hand against the cold stone wall to steady himself.

Looking to the side he could see Allison, Sedrick who didn't look too happy and Melina also resting their backs on the cold stone wall.

He could only see their faces because of the bright blue flames that smoldered on top the candle stand.

He'd crashed in the moment the guards had come to get them and from what he could remember he knew where they were at the moment and thanks to the game system he was more certain.

[The castle Dungeon]

[Secret mission: Escape the castle Dungeon without getting caught]

[Reward: 10,000NP] individually!

The mission came in so suddenly and unexpectedly but he was going to do it either way. But he knew very well that so far he'd seen the notification then probably the others would've seen it as well, if that were sitting ducks doing nothing then probably they had tried all they could while he was asleep.

"Hey screw head, so you finally woke up" Sedrick started with his usual ranting, "You just took a life from me and now I have only two left. Just know that whenever we get out of here you'll be paying back"

Tenkin totally ignored the mohawk idiot and turned to Allison, "What have you tried so far?" Tenkin asked.

"How?"

"To get out of this place" Tenkin added to hint her on what he was talking about.

"Oh, I guess you saw the secret mission too but I don't know why but the system abilities are reduced badly in here". Allison said and in confirmation he could see that his system option had a lot of dulled out options.

"And the power points are recovering but at a really slow rate" She added.

"Oh i see" he said rubbing his beardless chin, in thoughts. that explained why Sedrick didn't outrightly attack him, but it didn't matter either way if he did. With nothing in mind he slumped back to the ground, "Well, I'll just continue his nap"

"....Ah.." she started but had nothing to say, she was shocked with the way he'd just gave up, this was a part of Tenkin she was seeing for the first time.

"..Did he just give up?" she thought to herself.
