Severing the connection

“Sir Thomson, the brain waves from all the patients have returned to normal, ….and... .and” he stuttered.

“And what?!” Thomson cut-in, slightly irritated. He didn't see the reason why he'd stutter, if he had something to say, then he should. He was already in a bad mood, frustrated from all the work he had on his plate.

“They're all awake!” The worker said, his voice carrying a hint of shock, yet, he was overwhelmed with joy.

“Is this true?” Thomson asked. His initial demeanor quickly changed, making a three-sixty change.

His face washed with shock.

That had yet to do anything concerning the matter. So how did they suddenly wake up? Did they fulfill some certain conditions?

“Indeed,...”

Without even letting the latter to continue, Thomson charged out of his office, making large strides towards the room where the patients were kept.
