Expecting The Grenade

She turned to him. Her fear was still there.

He felt the fear from her body earlier, it kept shaking and vibrating repeatedly.

"Home." She replied in a timid voice.

He was silent for a few seconds before speaking up again. "You can't go home now." He said to her. "You saw what happened earlier." Servyn seconded.

"I can't stay either." Her cracking voice spoke.

"Come with me." His pupils dilated.

When did he say this?

Hermione frowned worriedly. "But…"

"I will not repeat myself." He stopped her from protesting.

Hermione saw him walking away, not wanting to disobey his orders she carefully followed him behind. The sight of the thick blood stucked on the tip of his sword irritated her, she instantaneously looked away from it.

A white stallion was just standing few more steps Infront of them. Hermione assumed it to be his horse because even the horse portrayed royalty and elegance. It was agile and strong from it's looks.

She watched Servyn alight on the back of the stallion. She stood there unlettered, just blankly staring back at him. She had never climbed a horse before, so she didn't even know how to start.

Servyn's gaze landed down on her, he raised his brows at her questioningly. And she replied shaking her head sideways while blinking innocently at him.

He hesitantly stretched out his palm to her, and once she held it, he immediately swept her off her feet, pulling her up with his immense strength.

Hermione was shocked from the position he placed her. She thought he was going to sit her behind of him, but…. She was Infront? Right between his legs!

Her cheeks heated up in realization of where she was. Her already calmed heartbeat picked up it's pace again, but this time for a different reason entirely.

Now it was her turn to feel his hot breath invading her space as it hits the nape of her neck. Hermione slightly shivered at the impact.

As though it couldn't get more worse, Servyn wounded his hand around her waist to hold the reigns. He felt her light shiver from his touch, and the breath she had forcefully released from her lips.

The ride was smooth and silent, but definitely not comfortable for either of them.

He rode slowly, hoping it could help her clear her mind more better.

But in no time, the arrived at the castle's gate. The guards from the outside started to murmur seeing their Crown Prince with a woman. The seemed to be debating something.

When Hermione and Servyn approached nearer, a guard came to stand Infront of them.

"Your Highness." He greeted, but didn't sound so respectful.

Servyn arched his right brow in amusement. A wide smile threatening to escape his lips. He knew what they were at.

Too bad Hermione couldn't see him from where she sat. She would have thought that the annoying Prince was back.

"We can't let you pass without confirming." The guard informed.

Hermione wondered if she was the reason, but those thoughts immediately disappeared when she felt Servyn's hand move behind her.

He took out what looked like a pass, the same one Zolan had shown the other day. 'So they don't trust their Prince too?' Hermione wondered in her mind.

"I am sorry your Highness." The guard immediately apologized frantically with an awkward smile. "I…I…You see…." He yammered glancing at Hermione now and then trying to explain himself.

Hermione wondered what she had to do with this one now.

Servyn didn't wait for him to finish whatever he wanted saying. He chuckled funnily before hitting the stallion for it to move.

Immediately they arrived at the castle, Servyn's wing. Cesarean and Korden rushed towards him with urgent footsteps.

He was about to leave his naughty remarks when korden cut him off. "The king had ordered the whole castle to be watched and on guard." He announced worriedly.

Servyn frowned at the information. His playful expression was replaced with a serious one. He gazed intensely into korden green eyes which the man reciprocated with a deep look of his own.

Hermione watched them weirdly. It was as though they were having a kind of silent conversation that no one could hear.

"I see you brought company." Cesarean who had noticed Hermione unpurposed attention, remarked loudly. Pulling the other two out of their rapport for a while.

Hearing this Hermione brought down her gaze, trying to blend in with the air, if at all that was possible. She knew she shouldn't have come in the first place.

Servyn adjusted his expression after hearing Cesarean's words. He turned to look at her. "She will be staying here tonight."

"Your Highness, your Father!" Korden exclaimed, loosing his calm.

Servyn was silent for a while. He ran his slick tongue against his lips. His eyes moved from korden to Cesarean.

"I…can go home." Her small voice bursted the silence in the room. "I don't wish to cause any inconveniences for anyone." She said when their gazes settled on her. "Thank you, your Highness for you help. I appreciate. I will surely repay you one day." She added with a small bow at Servyn, and then the other Lords in the premises.

Hermione turned around to leave. She took large strides so he would not be able to stop her. But her aims were all futile.

"Don't go through that door, Hermione." A deep voice with authority rang in her ears. And she knew it was him.

She helplessly turned towards him but didn't take any step forward nor backward.

Why does he enjoy putting her in difficult situations, she asked herself with brows furrowed in worry.

But funny enough, he was the one angry. What did she do to upset him this time? Honestly she was terrified at his angry look right now, it was the first time of seeing him like this, but the question is, what exactly is he angry about? Her leaving?

"I have an idea though, but I'm not sure everyone is going to like it." Cesarean asserted casting his gaze on korden.

Lord korden could already presume dread coming from whatever Cesarean's idea was going to be.

"This is not good." He mumbled underneath his breath expecting the grenade.
