Into The Unknown

The dawn broke with a soft glow, casting long shadows through the dense canopy of trees. Jiang Ting, Yan Ping, and Yan Yao continued their journey deeper into the Qilin Mountain Range. The forest was alive with the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves, creating an almost serene atmosphere that belied the dangers lurking within.

The first few hours were uneventful, giving the trio a chance to adjust to their new reality. They moved swiftly and silently, their senses honed from weeks of training. As the day progressed, the terrain grew more challenging. The path became steeper and the undergrowth thicker, but they pressed on, determined to make the most of the daylight.

By midday, they reached a clearing where they decided to take a break. Jiang Ting set down his pack and stretched, feeling the tension in his muscles ease. Yan Ping and Yan Yao followed suit, grateful for the respite.
