Stella was the one to come forward when Mary's eyes narrowed with a smirk.
"Yes, yes! Baroness Stella would be the most appropriate choice since she must want to apologize to me for the morning accident. To be honest I was surprised that she poured a pitcher of water over me to wake me up. But I am sure that she must be feeling guilty now, right?" Mary smiled at the pale face of the maid who gritted her teeth. Mary winked at her brazenly.
"It was lady Sharon who made a mistake, your highness." said Stella with some force. If she lied again, she would be dragged into the mess too.
"That was not the case, your highness. Give me the chance to explain it." Sharon stood up and pleaded in a soft voice but one cold glace from Cassian was able to shut her up.
"Send them out since they are unable to fulfill their purpose!" He waved his hands and two knights stood behind the ladies.
Gritting their teeth, they stood up, not ready to get dragged by a measly knight.
