"Why would you not say anything sooner? You can trust me with your life, sisters before misters?" Blair questioned as I told her about the phone call.

"Sorry but I didn't know what to do, I still have no idea what I wanna do about this."

"I'd say forget forget forget, I'm sure that when the relationship grows he'll get comfortable enough to tell you but don't tell him you know because it'll just bring drama into your lives and trust issues later on."

"That's your big advice? Fine I won't say anything, also I'll  be his girlfriend  soon and he will soon enough be my...boyfriend.Mason. He's a really good guy and his bodyyyy."

"I've seen the pictures of him in the science classroom, I'm so happy for youuu, also you know what they say the bigger the nose, the bigger the-"

"Ok ok. Good night to the best hoe this town has to offer." I said to Blair.

"Night night rude whoreeee." Blair fell asleep and sadly I didn't manage that for myself. I went down to maybe watch some tv when I run into my foster mom, Sophie doing the same. She was sat on the couch and watching some cartoons.

"Hi Julianna. Can't sleep?" She spoke. "You gonna sit or watch from the side?" She asked after I didn't respond.I decided that it couldn't be so bad if I just went and joined her, right?

I walked over to her and sat down.

"What are you doing up, usually your stuck at work or sleeping away the hours." I questioned her.

"Well, as a doctor, you get...stressed and you start to realise that you're saving lives yes but sometimes you just need your own personal time for you, self care."

"Sometimes that's how I feel about school?"

"School is a shit hole. Actually no it's not, it's good if there's the right people there, if they aren't there, the whole experience is ruined. But how's your life right now?"

"Good it's going good," I paused to contemplate whether or not I should tell her about Mason. This was basically the first time ever that we'd actually talked and got along with each other.

"I sensed that pause, you got a boyfriend then?"

"Nope, not yet."

"Ah, neither of you have made the move then. Teen romance is sweet, and painful that's for sure."

"Painful?" I asked

"Of course, it's fragile, most guys are...immature but ah, sweet teen romance, it's fun while it lasts. I bloomed later in life but that did not really even matter because whilst in med school? Who has time to fit in a dating life."

"So what's you and Nick's story?"

"If you feel comfortable, you can call us mom and dad ok? I was his first girlfriend and him my first boyfriend . We had similar interests in life and we just really connected. Before I knew it, I was experiencing true happiness in my 20s. Romance is very sweet, trickiest part is keeping it going each day."

"That's so sweet, I'll probably never have anything like that, my luck in dating is very limited."

"Does the guy treat you good, make you happy in more ways than 1?"

"Oh Sophie, I never know with him he's quite a...surprise? Sometimes. But it doesn't matter to me because I should just enjoy the days as they move past, right? Yes. Enjoy the days as they move past."

"That's good, enjoy it all, live for the small and big moments because it's all worth it in the end. You'll die with good memories of all the people that you once loved."

"Has anyone told you how wise you are?" Sophie nodded to my comment.

"What did ever happen to the first boy?" Sophie asked referring to Asher.

"He's just not who I thought he was."

"Well it's good that you know now, since you know now, you can use this as a way to grow, I see loses as a thing to show how you can improve."

"You're not as bad as I thought."

"Thank you, I think you'd have noticed if we ever got the chance to talk more. I hope you and your almost boyfriend work out."

. . . . .

Me and Sophie talked about a lot of things before I headed to bed, I even ended up telling her about the date I'm going on soon.

. . . . .

The Next Morning

It was now the next day and me and Blair were on our way to school. I started to talk about last might and how maybe, just maybe, Sophie isn't so bad?

"She brainwashed you oh my poor little baby." Blair replied.

"Blair shut up no she didn't. I think you should actually try spending time with her. I think that we're gonna do the cartoon talk thing more often and from our convo I seriously think she wants a better relationship with you. I also told her about Mason."

"Of course you did. I mean it won't hurt to try but like jeez we were hating her now we're supposed to just move on? Jeez Liana, JEEZ."

"She'll take you shopping?"

"Done deal, Sophie is amazing and truly perfect."

"Anyways, I think I want her and Nick to meet Mason actually. I've never done a meet the parents thing before and if me and Mason truly do work out, then yeah I wanna do that. I think you should too."

"Really? Have them meet Kai? No thanks."

"Oh come on, I'm sure they'll...accept his shitty and quite expressive? Personality?"

"Ugh I hate you. Ok if this shopping thing works out, then yes. I will think about it. Only if it goes ok." Blair said.

"Good. We both have baes and parents who act like parents. Gosh life is so...good."

"Don't jinx it now." Blair added.
