Gao Tian was pissed off

Tension filled the room as the man seated beside her abruptly stood up. With Gao Tian looming close, he and the man faced each other, chests nearly touching, both gazes ablaze with tension. Jiang Xiu, feeling nervous but not brave enough to intervene, remained stuck, anxiously observing the two.

"Uncomfortable?" the man scoffed. "In what way am I making her uncomfortable? She didn't even say a word about it, and you're already yapping."

Gao Tian, accustomed to respect, refused to back down, especially when it concerned Jiang Xiu. "Does that look like she's comfortable with you?" he stated, nodding toward Jiang Xiu, who wore a complicated expression.

The two of them, now fixated on her, left her utterly bewildered.

The man sneered, "She doesn't seem uncomfortable; she looks like she knows you're fabricating things instead."

"Then were my eyes deceiving me when you grabbed and pulled her wrist?" Gao Tian retorted through gritted teeth.
