I don't think you'd be fit for it

Xia Mingzhou reacted, "Oh, really?" Then turned towards Jiang Xiu who was already looking at her. A smile formed her lips as she asked, "You're planning to join the pageant?"

Jiang Xiu's lips tightened as she absently fiddled with her hands. Despite Xia Mingzhou also attending Capital University, the vastness of the campus had kept them apart, almost causing Jiang Xiu to forget her existence for a while. Now, faced with the prospect of meeting her again, a twinge of fear crept into her heart.

While Jiang Xiu had summoned the courage to confide in the Xia family about what her her cousin had done to her, it didn't mean she had overcome her apprehension of Xia Mingzhou and the pain she had inflicted.

After all, the torment hadn't been fleeting; it wasn't just weeks, nor months, but instead in spanned for years. Overcoming her fear of Xia Mingzhou wouldn't be a simple task.
