Under the moon (1)

I had gone back to the residence to rest after enjoying myself, letting the others keep going since they wanted to keep going.

When I woke up, it was still the middle of the night and the entire village was silent.

However, I stood up after waking up and got dressed before heading out of the residence.

Since most people were dead drunk, it was easy for me to make my way to the edge of the village.

Even if people were drunk and in a festive mood, that didn't mean that they had let their guards down. There were still guards that patrolled the edge of the village and it was a group of them that I encountered.

When they saw me, they jumped down from the tree to greet me before questioning me on what I was doing here.

"I couldn't sleep, so I wanted to take a walk in the forest to clear my head."

The guards raised their brows to look at me, but after I flashed the Mark of Life on my forehead, those expressions relaxed.
