Hidden in the trees

It didn't take long for the mayor to come back with the information that I was looking for.

He didn't come back alone, he came back with a group of hunters that were the ones that really had the information that I was looking for.

"There's been a strange migration of animals to the west. We don't know exactly where they're going since we haven't been able to track them." The lead hunter honestly said to me when they heard what I was asking for.

With one brow raised, I asked, "You haven't been able to track them?"

There was an embarrassed and awkward look that appeared on the face of the hunter as he slowly shook his head to say, "We haven't been able to track them. We've tried many times, but each time…it's as if there was this strange thing that made us lose track of the trail."
