Zachariah then took out a remote control and pressed a button. The door and window then made a metallic clattering sound. The next second, a steel fence fell, instantly sealing the entire room.


Kathleen dashed to the door and grabbed the protective fence with both hands, shaking it vigorously. However, the fence did not budge and remained in place.


The next moment, Zachariah took out a metal baseball bat from somewhere and held it in his hand. He then began striking it against his palm, making a muffled popping sound with each hit.


Even though Kathleen attempted to call the police using Jefferson's phone, she discovered that the signal had been blocked and that even emergency calls were not working.


"Since you're so determined to leave me, let's die together," Zachariah said, his face contorted. He pulled a lighter from his pocket, lit it, and tossed it toward the window.
