Riverside Town

Lucas and Lilith ceased their conversation, for the person in front of them handed them their identification card to the guards. Lucas hid behind Lilith, still holding his hand on hers, expressing they were together.

"Go," said one of the town's guards, returning the I.D.

The person in front took it without changing his expression and stepped forward.

The two town's guards wore a stern expression, a heavy aura of an experienced soldier, and its bearing that placed pressure on whosoever they were near them. It was a solemn atmosphere until… glancing at Lilith's appearance broke it.

"Hi," smiled Lilith, handing the rock to one of the town guards.

The two guards' eyes were glued to her face; not once did they ever check the I.D., and not once did they comprehend what they were grasping. It was so obvious to compare the flat surface of the I.D. card against a ball-like object he was holding.
