Freeing the captives (1)

Lucas ignored Lilith's killing intent, and asked the captive, "It was you who said who owned a brothel, right?"

He lowered his head, not daring to look at the intense glare from Lilith, which was now directed at the blindfolded man, who acted like he felt nothing, and nodded slightly. Lucas' eyes sparkled, and Lilith was about to smack him when she heard his next words.

"Perfect. Then you can provide to pay the gratitude you owe to me once I help you escape from this place, right?"

The captive was stunned but then nodded his head.

"I see. Then I will free you. But before that." Lucas looked at the other captives. "Who among you is noble?"

They quickly shook their heads, and one of them replied after their eye conversation, "No one among us. They were killed, as though the bandit leader had animosity towards them. We, however, are wealthy enough to have the privilege to live here." He laughed bitterly.

His fellow captives soon followed him.
