DRUNK!

Neo had thought she was going to turn back at some point if he kept on working in circles, but unfortunately, she didn't. Diva kept on following him. He turned to face her and asked. "You are making me very uncomfortable."

"What are you uncomfortable about?" she asked and moved closer to him, close enough to hear his sharp breathes. "The sound of your breathes alone Is making me wet down here." she whispered.

"Please stop this, you are John's wife to be."

"Come on!" she giggled. "It's not like he is going to find out anyways, so why can't you let us just enjoy it." she placed her arms round his neck. "We ain't going to do it here too."

"I am not interested ma'am." He said politely and pushed her hands off.

"You wont be doing it for free, I will pay you handsomely." she touches his face. "Just like you too."

"Please stop this, what if someone sees us?"

Diva folded her arms and smiled. "Keep on pretending like you aren't dying to have a taste of what is here." she placed her fingers in her vagina and smaked her lips at him. "You are going to love it, I promise you."

"You aren't my type of woman." Neo said calmly.

Diva slapped him twice and aimed at the third but he held her hand. "Let go of me now!"

She yelled and pulled her hand out of his. "What did you just say? I am not your type of woman?" she laughed briefly. "Certainly, salves and paupers like you will be your type of woman, I don't expect much from wretched people like you."

"There is no way John is going to marry a lady like you." He scoffed. "I mean, you are ready to allow any guy you want, bang you."

"You are disgusting." she hissed and walked out.

Neo wasn't too sure if Diva understood what he meant when he said she wasn't his type of woman.

***********

John looked at the door when he heard someone come in. "Why are you here?" He asked his mom.

"I am not allowed to come to my son's room anymore?" she asked and sat at the edge of the bed.

"You should have at least knocked." He repositioned his reading glasses and continue with the book he was reading.

"Why are you reading by this time of the day?"

"Is there a fixed time for reading?" He didn't wait for response. "Well I am doing it to ease myself of the tension, before I go out."

"What tension are you referring Yoo?" She asked again.

"The tension here at your mansion, everything is so tiring, I have to host someone who I don't want to see in my bed, do all those nonsense that I don't like."

"Are you still mad? You still haven't forgotten what happened ten years ago?"

John closed the book he was reading and placed it close to him. "No one can deny the fact that she was the source, even though she is completely innocent, she keeps on paying for what she knows nothing about."

"You shouldn't have left home that day." Mirabella raised her voice.

"And you shouldn't have told her parents about what you saw." He raised his voice too.

"So you are blaming me now?" she lowered her voice.

"You caused everything." He whispered and took off the glasses placing it calmly on the book he was reading earlier.

"I didn't kill your father purposely!" Mirabella yelled and tears rolled out of her eyes. "He was drunk!"

"Mom can you stop this?! Who is accusing you of that! I left home just one night, and how many people died?"

Mirabella frowned. "Your father was drunk, that was what killed him." she wiped her tears.

"Waht about the other lady?"

"As a result of your father's drunkness." she said bluntly.

John stood and headed towards the door.

"Where are you going to?"

"I need air, this place is too stuffy for me to breathe in."

"Don't leave this house." she said, mentioning her words one after the other.

"Or what? You will punish me?"

"I can't do anything to you but trust me, whoever is making you do this can pay dearly."

"Who are you going to punish? Neo? Cause I stopped having friends because of you. I can't stand it to see people get hurt because of me." He paused and continue. "The way some people died ten years ago."

"John, I have told you to forget about what happened then." she moved closer to him and whispered. "It wasn't your fault."

"Can I ask you a question?" she nodded. "Why won't you punish Neo no matter what? He doesn't report to you or tell you anything I do, but you still manage to keep him close to me."

Mirabella looked away and cleared her throat. "I just trust him to always keep on you the right track."

"Keep on trusting him no matter what, he is a good man."

She smiled and placed her palms on his cheeks. "You have to marry Diva, that is the only way we can stand against your uncles." she frowned. "Or do you want us to loose your father's company to them?"

John removed his face from his mom's hands and held them gently. "I am going to get rid of them, without using Diva. Allow the young lady be with the man who truly wants her."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." John nodded. "I promise to get things straight, have faith in me mom and support me by all means."

"Alright." she embraced him for a moment or two and then withdrew from him. "Let me

Know if you need anything, I am willing to be of help."

"Thank you so much mom."

"Take care of yourself." she walked out of the room, and then the tender smile on her face turned to a heavy frown. "How on earth does he plan on getting rid of those monsters without Diva?" she saw Neo coming towards her direction, so she waited for him to come close. "Starting from today, you have to report whatever John does to me on a daily basis, who he meets and what they say."

"I can't-"

"Do as I say or I kick you out." she walked out.
