LET'S TAKE YOUR UNCLE OUT

He started regretting his actions immediately and doubted if he should remain in that house. "I should have listened to that young girl and returned when she asked me to." He said to himself.

Trying to pass the time, he walked around the big mansion, admiring the work of art and the power of money. The building structure was one of a kind. His eyes traveled around the entire building, the beautiful peony flowers were shining in their glory. Even if the flowers weren't there, the house would still look just as beautiful. He spotted something strange as well. It was a headstone! "What is this?" He asked no in particular and moved closer, the headstone had an epitaph inscribed on it. He looked closely and began to read the words. "Mr. Felix Williams, 19 Feb 1974-19 Feb 2014, If I was given the opportunity, I'd still choose you as my father in the next life, your legacy will continue to live, rest well my peony. I'll look after everything you love."

Neo clenched his fists in pain, beneath the epitaph was John's name, he imagined what the poor boy would have felt before saying those types of words. "John has been through a lot."

"What are you doing here?" A voice interrupted and it happened to be Mirabella's, she wore a black flair gown that had peony flower prints, a pink corset, a bag, and heels to match the color of the prints on her outfit. Her dress helped in revealing her beauty to the universe.

"Why do you have peony prints on your dress?" Neo asked and looked at the epitaph again. "John had referred to his father as his peony."

"You are yet to give answers to my question, what are you doing here?"

"Your husband died on his birthday?" Neo asked again.

Mirabella closed her eyes and exhaled deeply. "I don't want to be reminded of this, let's go." She whispered.

The need to respect her wish was essential for him since he was an employee, he carefully matched towards the car and helped her with the door, but his mind was covered with a lot of questions, and he hoped that he would get answers to them as soon as possible.

The driver drove carefully without any utterances. A few times, he peeked at her beautiful face through the mirror and saw that his questions might have done some damage to her.

"Neo." She called almost silently.

"Yes ma'am."

"Turn the car."

"What?" Neo was shocked and looked in the mirror to see her face. "Aren't you supposed to be at work about an hour ago?"

"There is somewhere else I'd prefer-" she was interrupted by a phone call, it was Neo's cell phone. "Who is that?"

"It's your son."

"Don't answer it and do what I asked you." Mirabella's eyes widened.

Neo looked at his phone again and decided to answer the call. "Hi."

"No matter what happens, make sure you bring my mom to work." John was whispering. "Don't take her anywhere else, if you do I won't ever forgive you."

"Wait? What?" The most confused man on earth at that moment would have been Neo. "Can you give me details of what you are talking about?"

"I'm in the middle of a meeting, just make sure you bring my mom to work and do not take her elsewhere." John ended the call.

"What did he say?" Mirabella asked curiously.

"That I must bring you to work on matter what."

"Turn this damn car now if you want to live!" Her voice sounded as if she was scared.

The statement sounded threatening but Neo listened to his real boss, John.

**************

Mirabella was trembling even before she stepped out of the car. Her hands were wet and shaking.

"Are you okay?" Neo asked holding the door for her to alight from the car.

"Please, take me back home. I don't want to see anyone." Her eyes looked lifeless.

"Are you scared of something?" she nodded. "Don't worry, I'll protect you-"

"Look who's here!" Richard cut in and giggled. "What? you came to work today? You didn't try to commit suicide again this year or have you forgotten today's date?"

"Let me be." She tried to compose herself in the face of the enemy.

"You know, if you hadn't seduced my brother this day many years ago, he might have still been alive. You killed him you possessive swine!"

"I see you love bullying women," Neo said with a smile and then frowned.

"Are you the new dog?" Richard giggled again. "I'm sure you don't know who I am yet, but don't you dare interrupt me while I'm talking."

"You are the dog here!" Neo retorted. "A Coward, weak dog that bullies tender and soft women. I won't stand here and watch you bully or insult my boss."

"Soft and tender?" Richard hysterically. "How can you call this evil witch soft and tender?"

"Evil recognizes evil." Neo wasn't having a bit of Richard's nuisance. "Get lost from here Sir, before I ask someone to bounce you out."

"No one will listen to you, no one dares to lay a finger on me in this place." He was bragging.

"Then I can bounce you out myself," Neo whispered to his ears.

Richard scoffs and walks out angrily.

Mirabella sighed heavily when the annoying demon finally got out of her sight. "I can't do this anymore," she whispered almost crying.

Neo gave his hand to her. "Let me walk you to your son's office."
