Lenora was only bait and was meant to distract the Alpha hound while Max scurried from behind to finish the first part of the job.

 Before her bladed elongated staff could reach the right eye of the head she was aiming for, she felt a heavy punch crash into her side. And at that moment, she heard the sound of ribs cracking and she was forced to cough up a mouthful of blood.

 Her body crashed downwards and stumbled some meters away from the hound formation.

Despite the severe pain she found herself enduring, she had played her role.

 Now that the focus of the Alpha hound was only on Lenora and was yet to notice his absence, Max leaped from behind and with the help of his electricity-engulfed sword, made a clean cut on the head they were aiming for and in the process, even cut off another head.

 "Now!" He shouted to Lenora who was already back on her feet.
