The teacher was busy doing her job by giving details of the topic boldly written at the top of the board yet Hillary failed to pay her any attention. The only thing she could think of then, was Max.

Where was he?

They were in the same class, right? He had said so. Her eyes searched through the class and that was when her eyes settled on a boy seated across the classroom.

"Thank God, he's here at least," She sighed. This was a way to understand things better. After a few classes, it was lunch hour.

Hillary quickly packed up her bag and began walking towards the boy who seemed to not have noticed her as he appeared to be in deep thoughts.

"Hey girl! Aren't you coming with us to the canteen?" Hillary heard a voice from behind her that belonged to one of the girls who claimed and acted as though they were best of friends.

"I have something better to deal with," Hillary shoved their words aside with a wave of her hand.
