The Journey to Fog City (6)

Seeing this scene, Jiang Youdao shook his head with some helplessness. He knew how outstanding his son-in-law, Zhou Chao, was and that he had his own ideas. Although he was Zhou Chao's elder and father-in-law, there were some things, some words, that were better left unsaid.

After chatting for a while, Jiang Youdao was summoned away by his secretary, who said there was something in the conference room that required his input. He hurriedly left the office.

Zhou Chao initially wanted to follow, but he was rebuffed by his father-in-law's words.

"Why would you go? Stir up trouble? Just stay here and enjoy your tea!" Zhou Chao felt speechless. He felt a bit offended, even though there was some truth to what was said. But it still stung a bit.

Fortunately, it was his father-in-law who said it. If it had been someone else, Zhou Chao would have felt slighted.
