Kaneki Higanbana was estranged by 3 girls when they got into high school because they fall for a guy name Ryueki itadori.


one day he accidentally met Ryueki itadori's childhood friend and crush Natsuki Mizutani who has the ability to see the "color" of a persons soul


they soon became friends and as soon they became friends Kaneki told her about him being estranged which made Natsuki mad.


though he kept their names a secret.
and so Natsuki is doing her best to make him happy.


and so their secret friendship had started.


and at the same time, the same girls Shino Tanaka (childhood friend), Yuuka Mirai (best friend) and Miku Higanbana/Tachibana(step sister) who felt so much guilt after realizing they've hurt Kaneki so bad.


are trying to fix their relationship with him.

Kaneki: so~ how exactly am I supposed to go to Atlantis from here?

Once Kaneki had met up with his old acquaintances, Claudia Alfina the Princess of Atlantis, Arin the daughter of one of his sensei's, and Drako Desmond a former General of hell during the war of hell.

They suddenly triggered Kaneki's memories and made him remember the past.

As of right now, the memories he was remembering were the ones when he first went to Atlantis to train... And how he became the Hero of Atlantis.

Kaneki: Sensei this is a bad idea! I don't know how to swim!

During his first days of training in Atlantis, Kaneki immediately had trouble and that was going to Atlantis.

Not only because he can't swim nor breath underwater, Atlantis was far beneath the ocean surface and the only way to enter Atlantis was through portals located in secret parts of the ocean floor in certain locations around the world.

So as you could imagine it was nearly impossible for Kaneki back then to actually train there.

Monoma: okay then I guess you can't get the power of Atlantis then.

But even that won't stop the child who desires power in order to bring back his deceased mother.

Splash! Splash! Splash!

Monoma: Sigh~ this is going to be so hard.

Monoma: hey are you still alive kid?

Kaneki immediately started throwing up water that ended up in his lungs after trying to swim.

Kaneki continued going in the ocean, drown, get back into the boat and repeat.

Apart when he actually decides to stop for a day, this entire cycle happened for almost a month and he had drowned countless times.

Kaneki: Let's go train in Atlantis!

Monoma: Yeah yeah. Crunch!

Monoma: might as well, even if you can't truly drown I'll just bring you back up anyways.

And once again he went for a dive.

Monoma wasn't really too worried about Kaneki since he can't die from drowning, so she just decided to wait and retrieve Kaneki as usual.

But when she decided to get him in this time.

Kaneki: Woah! This is so weird! I have gills! What happened?!

Kaneki was still sinking but he was not only able to to talk underwater but also breath with gills that appeared on his neck.

Monoma: how is this possible? The only Demons I know that can have gills are ones that are water-types not sound-types.

Kaneki: I don't know too, but c'mon! Let's go to Atlantis already!

Monoma: Okay but I suggest you wear your mask already-

With his mask on, The young Kaneki went to Atlantis with is teacher to train to get more power.

SCREEEEEAAAAAAACH!

Monoma: Protect the citizens! Fire the plasma cannons! Don't let them enter the city!
