INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

Jack, a self-made multi-millionaire, tall with broad shoulders and a handsome face unmatched, his hair as dark as midnight and his eyes as clear as the blue sky with no cloud and his smile unresisting as the devil's offer made to a desperate soul. He is the heir to a drug conglomerate, his father is a drug lord but he wants nothing to do with his father's business. He left his hometown in Mexico to come to Capitol City and built a business for himself, HADEN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY.

June 14, 2027.

Kenas, Capitol City.

Jack sat on the chair in his office talking on his phone to his client Mr. Bronx, a General manager of the Easter Brothers company on the line. Jack grimaced at the name of the company but the Easter Brothers were among the top companies in the world.

They have branches across the world and Jack as a business man wanted to ally with them.

Jack, as a general contractor, was looking forward to building the next branch the Easter Brothers were planning to open in Seoul, Korea.

His secretary was standing in front of him. Jack signaled to her to hand over the documents, she was holding in her hands to him.

He also signaled to her to get him a cup of coffee while he was still talking to Mr. Bronx on the phone.

His secretary left to get his coffee and she came back with it, he nodded his head at her to thank her.

She left his office, seeing that she had nothing to do for him.

Jack drank his coffee, enjoying every delicious drop of it, he was in a good mood as he was expecting Mr. Bronx to give him the pleasant news that he would be working on the project for the Easter Brothers international company.

He was definitely in a good mood.

"Mr. Bronx, let's forget about the introduction, we have already passed that. Let's get to the main point, shall we?" Jack was so eager.

"Well about that, the deal is already yours but there is a minor issue. You know Mr. Peters is an old man and he has a certain way he thinks, He thinks differently". Mr. Bronx stuttered as he spoke.

"Can you get to the point Mr. Bronx?" Jack was getting irritated at Mr. Bronx.

Suddenly his mood changed, his mood became sour and he had a strange expression on his face, he was trying to control his anger from showing in his voice.

And when they dropped the phone, he stamped on the table in anger, he was visibly annoyed. He couldn't believe how everything was changing.

He shouted, rubbing his hands on his face in restrained anger.

His secretary came into his office with questions in her eyes, she looked at him and came to his side, massaged his shoulders, and touched his face carefully, she didn't want to annoy him any further. Dianne, couldn't help but notice his moody expression. She had worked with Jack for years, and she had seen him upset before, but this was different. His fury hung in the air like an ominous storm cloud, casting a dark shadow over the entire office.

"Sir," she began cautiously, "is everything okay? You seem really upset.

Jack's head snapped up, and his steely gaze bore into Dianne. He didn't say a word, but the anger in his eyes spoke volumes. Dianne's concern only seemed to infuriate him further.

Jack ignored her but later said, don't worry about me Dianne, "go back to what you were doing earlier."

But she refused, he hadn't given her an answer.

"Dianne," he growled, his voice low and dangerous, "I told you I don't want to be bothered right now. Leave.

Jack was extremely irritated by Dianne's resistance, "Get the fuck out of my office right now." He shouted at Dianne.

Dianne recoiled, taken aback by his harsh response. She had never seen Jack like this before. Swallowing her hurt and frustration, she nodded slowly and turned to leave. As she walked away from his office, she couldn't help but feel the sting of tears welling up in her eyes.

His phone rang and he picked up the phone, he answered the call.

"Hey buddy what's up?" Alan, Jack's friend said.

"You said today was the day of confirmation on the deal and I wanted to be the first to congratulate you, man," Alan said with happiness expressed in his voice, he was genuinely happy for Jack.

"Forget about the congratulations man, there's no deal man, just forget about it," Jack said sullenly.

"What's wrong Jack? hope there was no problem?"Alan said as he noticed the sadness in Jack's voice.

"You know what? let us meet at our usual spot and I'll tell you everything." Jack noticed that Alan was becoming worried and he didn't want to alarm his friend.

Alan was still trying to talk to Jack and get the full details when Jack hung the phone on him and kept on thinking about the next step to take.
