"I wish we didn't need to leave the orphanage, but I am glad to be here so I can sleep on a warm bed again," Annalise said, falling back onto the soft mattress of the bed in Rafael's room.

They had left the orphanage an hour ago and came to the house belonging to the Callahans. Annalise came inside first to get washed up and go to bed while Rafael took all their belongings from the carriage to organise them.

For once Annalise did not mind that Rafael wanted to do most of the work by himself. She was tired after running around playing with the children. The children were so full of energy that it left Annalise feeling jealous as all she wanted to do in the middle of playing was find somewhere to rest.

She was someone to enjoy the outdoors, but Annalise missed a nice warm bed.
