"Every time I had meals sent over, Doctor Lu was called out for house calls," said Madam Liu.
"Aunt, you needn't bother bringing me meals separately in the future. If you don't mind, I'll come and join you for meals at the residence," suggested Lu Sangqi. He was now busy treating patients and improving his medical skills, and whenever he encountered something he didn't quite understand, he would seek advice from Ye Muyu.
Ye Muyu didn't understand medicine, but she could provide examples, all of which were extremely valuable. On many an occasion, Sangqi would burrow into the Chu family's bookstore.
Inside, one could find rare books, available for purchase either as printed or hand-copied editions, and a number of previously lost texts had been restored.
This made Sangqi realize that Ye Muyu truly loved reading, which was why she knew so much. The more he read, the more his mindset changed, and he no longer fixated on domestic affairs.
