Chapter 14, Xi Han Ask For Beating

Xi Han walked into Li Jain yard arrogantly. He heard from a few of his friends that Li Jain has redeemed his two children from the restaurant, which means Li Jain has money; so he came to collect his debt.

He looked at the small house as he walked down the narrow road with its mud siding and black door and stepped onto the grass of the yard. When he reached the porch of the house, Xi Han could hear voices, and he could hear cheerful voices of the children. 

He knocked on the door loudly and shouted: "Who's here? Li Jain, I'm here to get my money." He paused for a moment before calling out again in the same tone, "Li Jain!" His face grew colder by the second. 

Then suddenly the front door opened wide, and there stood Li Jain in the doorway. The man had pure skin and jet black hair that was neatly combed over his head; although his clothes weren't  fancy, they were well made, he looked elegant and bear the air of a young master.

His eyes were calm and steady: "Xi Han, what brings you here?" He looked Xi Han up and down slowly, and Xi Han felt like the other was assessing whether or not he is worth being associated with him.

Li Jain just came back from hunting and hasn't parked his things yet, when he heard someone calling him. When he saw the person, he realized that it was the man who said Xiao Sheng borrowed money from him the last time. 

"I came to collect my debt!"

"Here, thanks for letting Xiao Sheng borrow from you. I've added three times the interest." Li Jain took out the money he had already prepared and handed it over, who knew the other would be unreasonable and not accept the money?

Xi Han was moved, and wanted to collect the money, then he saw what Li Jain was holding, his eyes filled with greed. Each father of this six-wings bird is worth two gold coins, not to mention the blood that is worth more. If he sell this, he will make a fortune.

"Since you didn't pay me for the time we agreed upon, you have to compensate me with that six-wings bird." Xi Han pointed at the bird in Li Jain's hand.

"I told you to come get your money in two days, aren't you here now?" Li Jain frowned, not understanding what the other party was getting at.

The children training in the backyard heard the commotion and came running. When Xi Han saw the twin, his eyes lit up. This shows that his friends weren't mistaken and Li Jain has money.

Now he can get this six wings bird for a hundred times the amount he offered.

Xi Han thought to himself. With this, he could get his debts paid off. He quickly recovered from his shock and went into his mode of negotiation, "That is different. At that time you didn't have money but now you do." 'Even your children are wearing new clothes.' Xi Han thought.

Li Jain did not understand why he needs to repay him with that bird, but he understood the value of his property. His eyes darkened. Then his voice sounded, coldly, "If I remember correctly, I told you two days ago I would add interest on your money. So why do I still need to  compensate you?"

The children were also speechless by Xi Han shamelessness. At first, they all watched the scene quietly, but now couldn't help interfering. "How unreasonable! You are just a cheat who wants to take advantage of us." Li Zhang complained. He was really upset. It wasn't only him who thought Xi Han was despicable, the other children too thought so as well. Their expressions were filled with contempt.

"Do you know if I sell the five of you, I'll make more than a fortune?" Xi Han sneered. 

"How shameless you can get. Daddy has already increased the money three times the usual amount yet you still want more." Jing Sheng rolled his eyes and snorted in contempt.  

"I'll say it again, unless he gives me the money along with this bird, I will take you guys to the Zhu family this instant! " Xi Han threatened.

Li Jain frowns, he seems to have underestimated human greed and their level of shamelessness when they are taking advantage of others. Looking at Xi Han smirked and the children frustrated flush faces, Li Jain was very displeased. He waved his hand at Xi Han: "Come here."

"Are you crazy? How dare you treat me like your pet?" Xi Han said angrily. The way Li Jain waves at him, was more like calling a pet.

He was angry. If it wasn't for the fact that he needed money, he would never bow his head before the likes of Li Jain.

"What do you think?" Li Jain asked sarcastically. "If I say come, you will come." Li Jain stretched out hand, A thin spiritual energy came out of his palm and rushed towards Xi Han.

Xi Han chuckled when he felt the presence of the weak energy. He quickly gathered his spiritual energy and was ready to counter attack at any moment. Suddenly, his face changed and spit out a mouthful of blood.

He was so frightened as if he had seen a ghost. Xi Han felt his spiritual energy was being absorbed at an astonishing speed. The next moment, his neck was pulled into Li Jain's hand like a magnet being attached to another.

Xi Han's face turned pale as blood drew out of his face and his body trembled uncontrollably. He felt like the death gate wasn't far from him. "I'm sorry senior, please spare my life. I was just talking nonsense and didn't mean to offend you. You can keep the money, I don't want it anymore."

"When did I say I wanted your money? How dare you threaten my children?" Li Jain smile harmlessly.

But this smile make Xi Han more frightened: "I was wrong, I know my mistake. Please spare me." Xi Han said as he frowned in pain.

"Take your money and don't come here again." Li Jain put the money into Xi Han robe, and threw him out of the yard with a punch. Xi Han flew over the gate and fell on the road, startling the villagers.

The gossipy lady and her friend that came from the forest were startled and almost ran for their lives. 

Aunty Ling patted her chest, "Gosh, that scares me to death."

Aunty Wu next to her was also breathing heavily. "Is... isn't that Xi Han?"

The two walked to take a closer look and were surprised to see Xi Han. Xi Han had already passed out from the moment he hit the ground and was laying there motionless. 

"It's really Xi Han. Where did he fall from?" 

"Isn't that young master Li yard right behind here? Say, did they beat him up?"

"Xi Han looked beat up but whether to say it was the Li family, is still unknown."

"Serves him right! This Xi Han has been relying on his powerful cultivation to bully people. A few days ago he took away my big roster that I've raised with sweat as protection fees. I knew karma would get him sooner or later."

"Although I don't like that irresponsible young master Li, I hate this Xi Han more. Let's leave him here and go call the village chief."

"Good." 

They picked up their things and left in a hurry. Afraid that Xi Han will wake up and everyone won't see his embarrassing moment.
