Cultivation Terms (Part Two )

Spirit Beasts – animals capable of cultivation. Some are innately magical and simply grow stronger over time, while others must actively practice a cultivation method. They tend to be much more intelligent than mundane animals, and some are capable of speaking in human languages. Spirit Beasts which have reached a high stage of cultivation may even be able to take on a human form.

These Beasts often possess a Core within their bodies which contains their essence and/or cultivation base. Cultivators highly prize these Cores and will hunt the Beasts to obtain them. The Cores are generally either consumed by a cultivator to increase their cultivation base or used in the production of magical items.

Demons – Born when an animal, plant, or even an inanimate object absorbs spiritual energy over a long period and then gains spiritual awareness. Not inherently evil, although many have antagonistic relationships with humans.

True Spirit Beings are powerful beings that occupy some of the highest levels of cultivation, They are usually characterized as having unique abilities and unique bloodlines and formidable power surpassing that of any other being. Some examples of True Spirit Beings are:

Dragon –, Dragons are characterized as majestic beings with powerful fire, water, and wind abilities, they tend to have strong bodies and souls

Phoenix – Another popular True Spirit Being is the Phoenix, known for its ability to regenerate and control flames, it's also one of the beings that could be reborn again through fires, some powerful phoenixes could actually be considered True immortals.

Qilin – A mythical creature from Chinese folklore, Qilin is depicted as a being with the power to control both fire and water

Nine-tailed Fox – This True Spirit Being is characterized by its nine tails and its ability to shapeshift and control various elements.

Their powers include immense strength, elemental control, powerful energy attacks, and regeneration abilities, among others. They are usually revered and feared by other beings within the cultivation hierarchy.

Tribulation: A test or challenge imposed by the heavens when cultivators reach a critical stage or attempt to break through to a higher realm.

Heavenly Tribulations: A more challenging and dangerous form of tribulation that occurs when a cultivator attempts to ascend to the divine realm.

Divine Tribulation: A more powerful and challenging version of the regular tribulation, often encountered by cultivators attempting to break through to higher realms.

Thousand-Year Tribulation: A tribulation that occurs once every thousand years, often faced by advanced cultivators attempting to break through to higher stages.

Life Sizing Tribulation_ The Life Sizing Tribulation is a phenomenon that occurs in the Upper Domains, diverging from the common understanding of death. It affects cultivators, who do not simply exhaust their life span but instead have their existence curtailed by these tribulations. The tribulations are similar to the Lightning Punishment Tribulations but specific to Void Transformation cultivators. They must endure a Life Sizing Tribulation once every ten thousand years, with each tribulation becoming progressively more formidable than the previous one.

Abyss Tribulation - A series of trials or challenges faced by cultivators who practice demonic cultivation, pushing them towards the dark and dangerous side of cultivation.

Fate/Divine Will - The concept that cultivators' destinies and paths are influenced by the heavens or divine beings, shaping their lives and cultivation journeys.

Forbidden Techniques - Powerful cultivation methods or arts that go against the natural order, often harboring great risks and potential consequences, but granting tremendous power.

Eye Techniques - Unique powers or abilities inherited or awakened through one's bloodline or special eyes, granting enhanced perception, control, or combat prowess.

Grand Dao/Grand Path - A supreme cultivation technique or path that represents the pinnacle of cultivation and grants extraordinary power.

Talisman - Mystical symbols or objects infused with Qi and inscribed with spells or formations, possessing various effects and abilities.

Laws - Fundamental rules and principles that govern the cultivation world and the universe, requiring cultivators to comprehend and master them.

Inner World - A spiritual realm within a cultivator's body, often created during cultivation breakthroughs, containing unique landscapes or treasures.

Karma: A form of spiritual energy that represents one's accumulated good or bad deeds, affecting their destiny and cultivation progress.

Spirit Refining: A process of refining and purifying spirits or incorporeal entities to increase their power or control over them.

Elemental Manipulation: The ability to control and manipulate natural elements (such as fire, water, earth, or air) to enhance attacks or defend oneself.

Dual Cultivation: The practice where two cultivators cultivate together, sharing their spiritual energy and cultivating a harmonious relationship.

Martial Spirit: A unique spiritual entity awakened within cultivators that grants them special abilities, skills, or powers related to their specific spirits.

Divine Weapons: Powerful weapons forged using heavenly materials and infused with divine energy, capable of causing massive damage to opponents.

Magic treasures: Objects infused with powerful magic, allowing for various supernatural abilities or granting protection.

Heavenly materials: Rare and precious materials that possess powerful properties and are used to forge weapons, artifacts, and pills.

Sect: Organized groups of cultivators with a common goal, often led by a powerful figure or sect master.

Elders: Experienced cultivators who hold positions of authority within a sect, responsible for teaching and guiding younger disciples.

Rogue Cultivators — also known as Loose Cultivators, are individuals who operate independently of any martial organization or sect. Often viewed with suspicion or even hostility, they possess a degree of freedom and flexibility that is uncommon in the highly structured world of Cultivation.

Spirit Tools - objects imbued with Spiritual Energy that can enhance a cultivator's abilities or serve as weapons.

Yin and Yang – the two complementary and opposing forces that govern the universe and are integral to the practice of cultivation.

Yin Qi – it's related to cold, Ghosts, Zombies, the moon and females

Yang – It's related to hot, sun, and males

Devils – Evil spirits/creatures of remarkable power and cruelty. Similar to the demons and devils of Western mythology. evil cultivators emulate them by practising devilish cultivation methods and committing atrocities in their pursuit of power.

Ghosts – spirits of the deceased, and it also could be used to describe a certain Race.

Ghost Qi: A type of negative energy or aura a

ssociated with the deceased or spirits, often employed by cultivators utilizing forbidden arts or techniques.
