"That was too close," Elder Hue sighed in relief, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead.

Dong Tian Di had asked him a single, piercing question: whether he had aided Liang in his escape.

"It's good that I genuinely have no idea how Liang managed to escape," Elder Hue muttered to himself. The mere thought of Dong Tian Di probing further into his involvement made his heart race, knowing full well that the consequences could be fatal.
