Chapter 899

Two individuals gazed at the glass containers before them in a control room filled with various massive magic circles covering the floor, walls, and ceiling.

It was Ran and Myu. They looked just like they did when they were Runcandel flagbearers, just now dressed in black robes instead of flagbearer coats.

They confirmed that one of the five containers was glowing red. Anne was inside that container, and the red light signified that she lost her body in the human world.

"...Isn't this really fast? She hadn't even been in the human world for an hour since arriving from the True Demon World," Ran said, shaking his head.

Myu shrugged in response. "Yeah, it seems like our big sister has become much colder than we thought. Or maybe someone else, like Jin or the former Black knight, came to support her and she was defeated by them. Either way, luck wasn't on our side. Let's get the full details when she wakes up."

It would take at least a month for Anne to regain consciousness and come out of the glass container.

They inspected three empty glass containers and the control room. They carefully examined the glass containers, checking if there were any cracks, and infused more mana into the faded magic circles inscribed all around.

Once they finished their work and left the control room, they headed straight for the nearest transfer gate. In the human world, it was the central transfer gate of Huphester that had been closed since the Sword Emperor Castle War.

The guide at the transfer gate lowered their head in fear as the siblings entered.

"Welcome, newcomers... you are administrators."

Administrators, that's what they were called in this world. Anyone living here feared the administrators more than any other powerful factions.

"Where would you like to go?"

"The Creator's place."

"I'll prepare it right away!"

Lokia had created this world long ago, and the name "Creator's place" was given to Ganesto's residence. Lokia had many titles over the centuries, and among them, "The Creator" was a title that the people often used to address her during her time as a Great Knight.

"I suddenly had a thought," Myu said as they entered the first-class cabin.

"What is it?"

"The matriarch gave Ganesto's main house the title that she had when she was one of the ten great knights."

"Why did you bring that up?"

"I was just wondering if she still has any lingering feelings from that time."

The transfer gate brought them to their destination in an instant. The Creator's place was identical to the Garden of Swords from a thousand years ago, with only the name and location being different.

"You've been coming here every day since leaving the Poison Demon Castle, but did you really have to ask? Of course, she has. She couldn't let her utopia slip away right before her eyes," Ran remarked.

[T/L: 이상향 - Utopia/paradise; The ideal world or place.]

"Well, yes, that makes sense," Myu replied.

However, there was not a single person in the Creator's place, and it felt desolate.

In the garden, there were far fewer swords embedded compared to the true Garden of Swords in the human world, and no one was passing through. The only ones who used this vast garden were Ganestos and none other. There were no servants, no attendants, no knights—nobody. The only sounds were the cries of insects, making it eerily quiet.

The two of them walked towards the training room where Joshua might be.

In the center of the training room, as always, Joshua was seated in meditation. Meditation was what he did most since awakening Ganesto's blood within him.

"1st flagbearer."

Joshua, and those who were rescued from Hell, also became flagbearers in Ganesto. 1st flagbearer Joshua, 2nd flagbearer Ran, 3rd flagbearer Vigo, 4th flagbearer Myu, and 5th flagbearer Anne.

Among them, only Vigo had yet to complete his awakening. Therefore, Vigo had never been to the Creator's place.

"You've come."

"Anne has lost her body in the human world. She won't wake up for at least a month."

"It was bound to happen sooner or later. It doesn't matter if Anne does not meet the expectations."

"Should we report to the matriarch?"

"No, I will speak to Mother about it."

Unlike the other flagbearers of Ganesto, Joshua referred to Lokia as Mother. The other flagbearers believed it was because Joshua had undergone the deepest awakening, deepening his connection with Lokia.

[T/L: For heaven's sake, when this mother's boy is going to grow.]

"Understood."

"Have there been any flaws?"

The world created by Lokia was unstable.

Generally, all of the history of this place followed the will of the creator, Lokia, but there were often cases of unexpected problems arising. Powerful individuals who could unexpectedly change the world's balance, disturbances in the power structure, or unexplained natural disasters causing destruction where it should not have occurred, among other things.

The work of the administrators was precisely to correct those flaws. When a threat to the world emerged, they eliminated it. When a necessary building was destroyed, they rebuilt it. When something unwanted appeared, they removed it.

Ideally, these processes would go unnoticed by everyone, but there had been instances where the public became aware of these operations. It was why everyone feared the administrators.

Fundamentally, creating a 'flawless' world was one of Lokia's long-held wishes.

"There aren't any confirmed serious flaws at the moment, but Sereal Zipfel seems to have become somewhat more aggressive. Unlike usual, he assassinated a few individuals who didn't agree with him in the recent Lutero Magic Federation Convention."

"The deceased were heads or the flagbearers of small clans with little influence, so it shouldn't be an immediate issue. However, Sereal Zipfel has been designated as a priority target."

"Sereal Zipfel... in the human world, he holds a position similar to Veradin Zipfel, right? Understood, if it looks like it's going to be a flaw, report to me before taking any action."

"Understood."

"Myu."

"Yes, 1st flagbearer."

"Is your body in the True Demon World still intact?"

"Yes. I've hidden it well in the abandoned Volcanic Zone. My body in the human world is also in good condition."

"Go to the Poison Demon Castle in the True Demon World. Inform Sir Kelliark that something happened to Anne. Druga Kilet would have seen the situation and may have gone straight to Grosch Castle, but it would be difficult for him to convey the information to Ragal right away due to Sakiel's watchful eyes. According to Sir Kelliark's speculation, it seems that Visepps has joined forces with Runcandel."

"Indeed, our youngest seems to have incredible luck, whether back then or now. After the war began, not having information from the True Demon World must have been challenging. But, even if he stayed still, people like Visepps would naturally find their way to him."

"That's not luck. It's closer to an inevitable result due to Jin's actions over time."

"Visepps didn't have many options besides joining the Vamel Alliance. Considering Seeing Anne get stuck in the glass container for a month suggests that things have gone awry. With so much to do and a shortage of manpower, it's no wonder. If only Rosa Runcandel, no, Rosa Ganesto were here; she would have been a significant help by now."

Joshua chuckled.

"In that case, you wouldn't have been able to live as comfortably as you do now."

"If Rosa Runcandel had fully awakened as a Ganesto and treated us as she did during her Runcandel days, we would have seriously considered asking the matriarch to purge her."

Joshua recalled the conversation he had heard from Lokia about the Evil God. A conversation between Jin and the last remaining humanity of Rosa Runcandel that separated from the evil god.

-Maybe I stopped my struggle because I was tired, because I couldn't see the path anymore, or because I felt that I had done enough. Becoming the evil god must have been the easiest and most tempting path. Perhaps... among all the paths I have walked before becoming the evil god, it was the most alluring and effortless one.

-I am on my way to punish her for her sins as the 12th flagbearer of the clan. If you have any last words for the evil god, let me know.

-Please... let death not be a comfortable escape. May my wretched soul and body remain trapped somewhere, suffering eternally. Even if eternity passes, may I never get free from that torment. I... always... wish to be by her side, more than anything else...

Lokia had informed Joshua that the curse that the human Rosa Runcandel had placed on the evil god had come true.

Both human Rosa Runcandel and the evil god Rosa Runcandel had completely vanished from this world, making it impossible for them to go to Hell or ascend to the cycle of reincarnation.

It was something that could not be reversed even with the powers of any immortal beings that remained in the current era.

"Rosa Runcandel has completely vanished, so it's meaningless to discuss this."

"But since the 1st flagbearer laughed, it seemed like a good joke."

"I am someone who laughs often, so there's no need to be proud of it."

"Then how about our beloved enemy, the cutie we all want to kill? What if the youngest awakened as a Ganesto? Is that a possibility?"

Joshua had asked Lokia the same question as Myu.

"Jin is the contractor of Solderet, so he cannot be awakened as a Ganesto."

"I can't understand why our awakenings are classified as a curse. Then could the others eventually awaken someday?"

"That, too, depends on what we do moving forward. If Mother's world becomes perfect enough to replace the human world, all the siblings in the Vamel Alliance will become Ganestos. Even Jin..."

Unlike other Ganestos, Joshua had no interest in Jin or his other siblings' awakenings.

He had a desire to show his mother that they could accomplish things even without them. However, if possible, he hoped that Dr. Qwaul could awaken anytime.

Considering the level of abilities he possesses compared to the inherited blood, Dr. Qwaul continued to be a significant and beneficial variable within the Vamel alliance. In Lokia's world, he was like a walking lump of flaw.

"No more pointless assumptions and jokes for now. Ran, starting today, you'll take over the role of overseeing the Creation Space for a while."

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to the human world. It seems Mother has finally found some clues about that person. Lucy Runcandel, the last great knight from a thousand years ago whom Jin has never seen before. You've thoroughly checked the glass containers, right?"

"Yes, I've tuned them perfectly."

Joshua stood up from his seat.

"I'll depart right away. If you encounter any flaws that you can't handle alone, report to Mother immediately. And just in case, don't mention anything about Lucy Runcandel to Sir Kelliark when you meet him, Myu. Lucy has fire dragons that Sheenu wants."

"Oh, is that a joke? Do I still look like Myu from the Runcandel days to you?"

Joshua chuckled again.

"Yeah, it's a joke."

"Well, it's not fun. Have a safe trip."

As he headed for the control room, Joshua pondered over Lucy Runcandel's identity.

'Even the fire dragons that Sheenu couldn't control are obeying her. The mother of all the imprisoned dragons... my mother deserves to be wary.'
