Ning An leaned back in his chair and sighed inwardly. So it wasn't about me, he thought. He tugged on his tie a bit and said, "I really had no idea she would ditch school. I haven't been home for a while."
Li Na said, "Ah, I see. Well, I haven't been able to talk to her either. She left her phone with me."
Ning An's interest was piqued "Is that so? Well, how about this? Why don't I come get it from you?" he suggested.
Li Na said, "That's fine. I wanted to go after school to visit her anyway."
Ning An sat up immediately, feeling excited. He said, "Really?"
Li Na said, "Yes."
Ning An stood up from his seat, too eager to stay calm. He said, "That will work then. See you later."
Li Na furrowed her brows, sensing something odd in his tone. She shrugged it off and said, "Sure."
"Ok, bye bye," he said.
"Bye," Li Na said as the call ended.
