Lighten Up The Mood

Xiao Mei ran her hand gently over Bai Lu's hair, feeling the silky strands between her fingers. She smiled sweetly, but her eyes were cold and cruel.

Without warning, she yanked Bai Lu's hair hard, making her cry out in pain. Bai Lu clutched Xiao Mei's arm, tears streaming down her face. She begged her to stop, to have mercy on her. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll work harder next time," she whimpered.

Xiao Mei scoffed and tilted her head. "Next time?" she repeated mockingly. "No, no, no, my dear. There will be no next time." She pushed Bai Lu's head away from her hand, sending her tumbling to the floor.

Xiao Mei stepped back and reached out her hand. One of her minions quickly handed her a bottle, filled with a dark liquid. Xiao Mei uncorked it and held it over Bai Lu, who looked up in horror.
