Wu Jing felt his face heat up and quickly denied. "Wh..what do you mean? I was just asking," he said, sounding flustered.

Ning Yu crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows. "Who knows? The last time you..." she stopped herself from speaking, for fear of revealing his secret. 

She cleared her throat and changed the topic. "Anyways, come along. I have a mission today and I must fulfill it," she said, marching ahead.

Wu Jing watched her go, his heart heavy with regret. He had a feeling that she had misunderstood him, and he couldn't help but curse himself for his foolishness. He put his hand through his hair and sighed heavily before following her. "I have to clear things up," he thought.
