Unfazed By The Pain

Jianing chuckled, his laugh sounding bitter and mocking. "Ha ha. It's good to see you… Look at you, all grown up. It was just like yesterday when I left you in that cage, starved and battered like an animal."

He grinned, showing his teeth. "But luckily, you got out. Or how would you have saved me, huh? You should thank me. I made you stronger. Never forget that."

Tang Zheng had no expression on his face. His hands were in his pockets, hiding his clenched fists. "You chased after my car and tried to attack me. What were you thinking?"

Jianing shook his head, his grin fading. "Chased after your car? Hmm. I did no such thing. But what I will tell you is that you got the second part right. I did try to attack you. But you were not in the car."

Tang Zheng knitted his brows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Jianing took a deep breath. "I was going to keep it as my secret card. But what's the use? Maybe I'll end up dead anyways."
