Meilin frowned in disgust, "Tsk, is this what they call fun? I can do this with my eyes closed."
Aiden nodded in agreement. He wondered if his lack of excitement was because of his rigorous training. He had faced much worse situations than a mere roller coaster. He sighed, "Come on, let's go try other things. Who knows, maybe we'll see something good."
They walked around the amusement park, enjoying the sights and sounds of the rides and games. Aiden noticed that many people were holding a cone-shaped snack that looked crispy and sweet. "Hey, wait here for a sec. I'm going to get us some of those," he said, pointing at the snack stand.
"Okay, hurry back," Meilin said, watching him walk away. His blond hair and blue jacket faded into the crowd of people. Leaning against a fence, she felt the cool breeze on her face. Closing her eyes briefly, she let herself relax.
