Helicopter

The moment he left, the smile on her face slowly disappeared. She sat there, lost in thought, her mind replaying the image of those captivating golden eyes. A chill ran through her, making the hairs on her arm stand up. 

"Should I tell Meilin?" she wondered, feeling alone with her thoughts.

She let out a deep sigh, her body reminding her of its needs. She glanced at the IV needle in her hand, which seemed so out of place. Throwing off the covers, she carefully got out of bed, but dizziness overwhelmed her. She grabbed the drip stand, using it to steady herself.

"Why do I feel so weak?" she wondered.

Taking cautious steps, she made her way to the bathroom. Standing in front of the mirror, she hardly recognized the person staring back at her. Her hair was a mess, her eyes tired.

"Is that… a booger in my eye's?" she muttered in disbelief. "Is this how I looked when I woke up?"
