The biting night wind howled into the car, sending a chill through the three women inside.

Yang Chen remained silent, his composure unshaken. He pressed the brake pedal hard, shifted the car into park, and pulled up the handbrake.

The Lexus slid a considerable distance before coming to a stop, a cloud of white smoke billowing around it. Ahead, the oncoming truck was less than fifty meters away, bearing down on them like a monstrous beast ready to devour the four of them.

In that critical moment, Yang Chen leaped from the driver's seat and, in a flash, appeared five meters in front of the Lexus.
