CHAPTER 15

THAT NIGHT around 5 pm...

The Plan to take the Capital was quite simple. All they had to do was capture the Ryongsong residence where President Kim Jung-Eun stayed. They couldn't capture or kill her because of the military might of the Supreme Guard Command which was tasked with the Protection of the Kim family but they could drive them out.

....

The Chief of the General Staff who had secretly sided with Kim Jong-Un's faction moved the PDC tank units along with 64,000 troops to initiate the plan.

"No one can hear of this, there are spies within the army so the PDC must move as discreetly as possible to the 'Youth Hero Motorway' and cut off access to the capital. The tip-off we received about the invaders is a credible source so trust me."

Even though the PDC reported to the General Staff Department, moving them in this way was unacceptable but surprisingly there was little opposition. A lot of high officials in the PDC had already sworn loyalty to Kim Jong Un's faction.

Unknown to Ryongsong, the Capital was now left with 26,000 PDC personnel. Then it happened.

The War Council got wind of the alarming news that Kim Jong Un and his forces were engaged in battle with Songrim, a city still under the President's rule.

An emergency meeting was called...

"We should have attacked when we had the chance, now we may lose another city!"

"He moved his whole army? What about Sinuiju City? Did he leave it defenseless? This is a chance, Marshall!"

"It is an obvious trap!"

"Even if it is, can we overlook this chance? If we succeed, we will deal a vital blow to his forces and reduce the chance of the Chinese entering our borders!"

"We will end up dividing our forces even more. We can't have that when Baba's movement is still unknown!"

"Grow up, old man. This isn't the medieval age. Dividing our force won't affect us, we shouldn't even be thinking about that when we are faced with such an opportunity!"

"If we don't hurry, they will take Songrim also, that city can't last against the full might of Kim Jong Un's force. It will take 40 minutes tops to capture the city, we have to move now!"

"....."

Shouts were heard throughout the war room. They were faced with making a decision that could place them in the lead in this war so the arguments got more and more heated until...

"SILENCE!!"

The common soldier who always stood beside the President brought silence to a war council's debate.

"What do you think Marshall Ri?" Kim Jung Eun asked.

"Like the Young ones mentioned, it is a trap. The question is can we afford to overlook it? If they do take the city, we might have to watch our sides as Songrim is near the Capital although that-"

Marshall Ri was interrupted with another sudden news.

"The South has crossed our borders!"

"What?! What about the SOF?!"

"We have lost all contact with them."

"Absurd, all this happened in one night? This is an obvious scheme of the enemy."

"We can not be certain about that!"

"Fuck! What shit is this!"

The war room got rowdy once more. They couldn't waste time anymore, everything could be taken from them if they didn't make haste.

Jung Eun saw this and gave the mantle to Marshall Ri with a brief nod.

"SOLIDIFY THE DEFENSE ON THE OTHER CITIES AND GIVE THE CAPITAL PRIORITY!"

"...."

It was an absurd order.

To the war newbies in the room, it seemed like he was talking nonsense while some of the war-familiar ones looked at it objectively. If they moved the army and it turned out to be a trap or a misinformation, they risked losing some major cities and most of all the capital. But if they sat tight and let go of Songrim while sharpening their defenses against the South, the situation would remain the same as it is now.

Songrim wasn't a city that one could move a large force through undetected so they also didn't have to worry about an attack on the Capital later on.

Marshall Ri's order was the most sensible decision right now.

But Contrary to the others, Marshall Ri made this decision for an entirely different reason.

'They plan to take the capital. I don't know how but this chaos is the first requirement for whatever they have schemed. But Kim Jong Un was never one to come up with a plan like this. Someone is behind him.'

.....

Tolu received a report

"As I thought, Marshall Ri picked up on our plan and made necessary adjustments to the military. The deployed forces of the PDC are probably on their way back."

Baba who had large headphones and a long coat on, gritted his teeth before pushing down a bomb detonator...

"DOOOOUUUU!!!!"

The 'Youth Hero Motorway' the most effective military route utilized by the PDC tank unit was blown up and brutally wrecked by Baba.

"It doesn't matter now, does it?"

He laughed and looked up at the sky, a chopper was descending near himself and tolu.

"Come on, Let's make history."

He entered the chopper alongside Tolu. The chopper flying at a high altitude was suddenly accompanied by multiple fighter Jets.

They were allies. It turned out that the whole of the Korean People's Army Air and Anti-Air Force in charge of the Capital was on the side of Kim Jong Un.

This was a variable Marshall Ri couldn't predict.

.....

Back at Nauru Island, The Good People's Trainee House...

"Act natural and don't give out more information than necessary."

"I know that."

The Island government was controlled by three main forces. Northwest Pro, the public, and other agencies on the island. Without revealing anything related to the attack on its territory, Northwest Pro used the government to pressure The Good People into tightening security in the Aiwo district, they did it so they could plant spies more easily and monitor their movements.

And of course, this decision had nothing to do with people like Nei or Team Leader Cho. It only made the Job more difficult for Nei and Taejin.

They now had to gather information about the tattooed man without revealing their agency.

An armed guard stopped them at the checkpoint.

"It's them!"

The guard shouted and alerted other guards. They aimed their rifles at both of them and got them on their knees. It was an unexpected situation.

Nei and Taejin were thrown into prison.
