Storm Warning

As a storm raged outside, Jenna sat alone in her apartment, her heart pounding with fear. She had always been afraid of thunderstorms, but this one felt different - more intense, more ominous.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Jenna jumped, her whole body shaking. She hesitated for a moment, but then slowly got up and crept towards the door.

When she opened it, she saw a man standing there, soaked to the bone from the rain.

"Please, can I come in?" he said, his voice pleading.

Jenna hesitated, but then felt a pang of compassion. She nodded, and the man stepped inside.

They sat in silence for a few moments, the only sound the pounding rain outside. Jenna studied the man, feeling a sense of unease. There was something off about him, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.

Suddenly, the man lunged forward, his hands wrapping around Jenna's throat. She screamed, but he only squeezed tighter.

In a panic, Jenna fought back, clawing at the man's face with all her strength. She managed to break free and stumbled backwards, gasping for air.

The man advanced on her again, but this time Jenna was ready. She grabbed a nearby umbrella and swung it at him with all her might, striking him in the head.

The man fell to the ground, unconscious. Jenna frantically searched for her phone, her hands shaking with adrenaline. She called the police and waited for what felt like hours, her heart racing with fear.

Finally, she heard sirens outside. She rushed to the door, tears streaming down her face. The police entered the apartment, guns drawn, and took the man into custody.

Jenna collapsed onto the couch, shaking with relief. She had survived the storm - and the man who had come with it.
