No one knows how it started. Domestic animals began to go wild, reverting to their primal states and lashing out at their owners. Felicia Owens, CDC scientist in Los Angeles, was attacked out of the blue by her cat. Now, Felicia is fighting bouts of irritability, anger, and outright primal rage. When others begin acting in a similar way, Felicia realizes that she needs to figure out what’s going on and how to cure it before it’s too late. Maybe it already is.

Primal Instincts

Sebastian got them each a couple of beers from the fridge before settling back down in the living room. 


“Now it’s time for you to tell your story.” He said to Felicia as he handed her one of the bottles of beer. 


“Just promise that you won’t throw me in the insane asylum after I’m done telling you.” 


“Your story can’t be that far-fetched…can it?” 


Felicia showed him her arm. “This all started with a bite from my cat.” 


“I wish that I was.” Felicia told him the whole story from start to finish. 


“And your friend thinks that what, that food was the start of all this?” 


“Apparently. I thought that it was a crazy idea, but when I found out that every animal we know of that’s been affected has been eating the same brand of food from the company Pet Provisions.” 


“Of course.” Sebastian sighed. “We warned them the last time that they got in trouble, we would be sending someone to do a full investigation on them.”
